We did. They say that due to budget issues they are trying to make do with fewer buses; as a result bus schedules are cramped with not a lot of room for leeway, and that if your school is one slated to have buses arriving at the tail end of the drop off period, they just will occaionally be late and there is nothing that can be done about it short of adding new buses to the route, which just isn't going to happen.

These are not cases of bus drivers arriving late to work or being sloppy but of the entore system just being crunched and running late.

OK, so it happens. But it is impacting children's education significantly. Every time a school bus (through no fault of the parents) arrives 1 minute late, that significantly impacts the education of every single child in the school if the bus has 1 kid from each classroom on that bus. Firing the bus driver won't solve that problem.

So, this is a diversion. Or an excuse for their laziness.
