Ooohhh, I like this approach.

My husband earns $16,120 for every pound I weigh.

LOL, I call BS, unless you're really trying to tell us someone whose DH makes $1.6 m/yr+ is hanging out on DCUM. YEAH RIGHT!

I think she just screwed up on her math. Not intentional BS.

That would mark -- no kidding -- the third time this week I've noticed someone mess up their math by a power of ten on DCUM. Ladies, come on! Let's not be stereotypes!

I don't know whether this was a math mistake or not. But, I think it is weird to assume that someone would not hang out on DCUM just because DH earned a lot of money. I think it is likely that the husband is not hanging out on DCUM, as he is most likely spending a lot of time earning a lot of money, leaving the wife with free time. You don't know a lot of people that make a lot of money, do you? They aren't generally that different.

I make a lot of money, as does DH, but we don't make $1m+. Most of the people I know that do, do not use the internet for entertainment (they have much more diverting things to do with their time and money). The richest person I know doesn't even know how to use a computer (and no, she is no old -- she literally just doesn't use one, which I suppose is a sign of the fact that she doesn't have to to earn money or to be entertained!).

I know some that do and some that don't. I don't think that it is about the money. Money gives more opportunities, but it doesn't force people to take them.

Plenty of "rich" people use the Internet for entertainment. You are generalizing.

I am the one whose husband earns $16,120 for every pound I weigh. Yes, he makes about $2M per year. And we are rich (not afraid to admit it) but don't spend conspicuously. I think my friends and neighbors would be shocked to hear our HHI. I think of myself as normal - and I think of DCUM as a place for normal people. Mostly.

This is (primarily) a parenting website. Why wouldn't people with HHI of $1mil+ not have parenting questions like everyone else?

Only in DC would someone who makes nearly 500K have the balls to call themselves "upper middle." You are seriously deluded.

I like it, too! I'll play.

DH makes $2,720 for every pound I weigh.

But I make $3,322 for every pound he weighs.

I guess he needs to gain or I need to go on a diet so we equalize the per pound number!

DH makes 1170 for every pound I weigh. He makes a good salary, but I'm fat so he got a bargain rate on the poundage.
