1. State your height and weight. You can also give explanations if it makes you feel better.
2. State your profession or industry- a general idea is okay. Examples- SAHM, finance, business owner, lawyer
3. State what your husband's profession/industry and how much he makes.
4. State how would you classify yourself- lower class, middle class, upper middle, upper class
5. Feel free to state any grievances with the OP of this thread.

1. 5'8", 135 lbs. Pilates and running.
2. Defense, business development. $200k.
3. Director of Sales, major SW manufacturer. (6'3", 190 lbs.) $400k.
4. Upper Middle.
5. No grievances, I'm amused.
6. Me - MSEE
7. DH - MS

Yes, I'm blonde. 8)

Forgot DH's income. Added now.

1. 5'4", 120 pounds. Explanation is what having multiple kids in your late 30s does to your body; I'm now mid 40s, desk job, no exercise to speak of, which makes it hard to get down to 110 or under.
2&3. We are both lawyers. He makes about $350K. You don't seem to care what I make, so I won't tell you.
4. If forced to classify ourselves, we would say we are extremely fortunate but not filthy rich
5. Grievance: Your theory assumes successful men only want a certain type of wife. My husband could certainly find a different type of wife, but he chose me.
6 & 7. JD/JD

1. 5'2" 103lbs--finally it's been a long time dieting
2. Part-time consultant, play around with money on the market, too- $200K+ w/out child support
3. No DH, but my ideal DH would be 6'3" 180lbs and would make over $300K a year but who has time to look?
4. Upper middle class
5. No grievances
6. BS and want to go to grad school, I miss being challenged

If this is meant to collect data in some meaningful way, it's obviously a ridiculous method. This reminds me of the farting/diet thread a while back. I suspect the real question OP seeks to answer is, "How many people here will answer a bunch of questions for no good reason?"

Thank you for stating your grievances with me. I don't have a theory. On another forum, there was a large argument about a woman's weight and the type* of man it attracts. I did not participate, but I wanted to see what the responses would be on DCUM.

*By type, they meant income level, educational level, and class. "The bigger your ass, the lower the class." <--- Not my idea, though you can yell at me for it if you life.

You really think someone doing meaningful research is going to address participants as "laydeez"? And do the research on an anonymous forum where people can lie as they wish?

Obviously not. But even informally, what's the point? It's not meaningful in any context.

What is the point of many threads on DCUM? What is the point of the "how gassy are you?" thread (a thread I happen to like, TYVM)?
