Who has seen the Obamas in church, where and when?

Idea:

Let's call it the OBUSHMA ADMINISTRATION.

This thread seems to be full of gibberish so I am not sure why I am contributing to it. For the record I was downtown- maybe 6 or 8 months ago?, (I know it was warm), and saw some black cars with tinted windows and official looking people outside a church. I asked a small group of bystanders what the deal was, they said the Obamas were there and I moved along. Tell me why this is important?

Ever watch Glen Beck's show? You need about six years of that under your belt before you can even begin to understand how the oh-so-important minutiae fit together.

None of this is a religion issue.

The issue is what comes out of wimpy boy's mouth and reality, plain and simple.

His main craft is deception.

the point is his deception since suggesting he had no idea about the politics of Rev. Wright, either pretty dense or quite the lie after 20 years.

He now would like us to believe that he attends church or does not. No one seems to know. It appears that he does respond to and attend racist, black, hate churches.

And why was this a "racist, black, hate church"? Watch Glenn Beck tonight (and for the next 178 nights in a row) to find out!

HEE HAW! HEE HAW!

Our resident whack-job was not there, therefore it did not happen. Anyway, are you telling me you actually believe words written in a paper? Carey Cash? Puh-lease!

As Seargent Major Whackjob "ACORN" Underpants put it so eloquently up-thread, "How can a mind like yours not discern in your face deception?"

How indeed...

Actually, I know the chaplain, and yes, the Obamas have attended several services there.
BTW, many of us go to hate churchs. Every January mine turns into pro-life brigade for the anniversary of Roe v Wade. I hate it.

Camp David, great.

Can no one find him a local racist, black, hate church? Maybe the black leather clad Black Panthers with batons in hand could be greeters.

Wow, you are really intimidated by him.

It's important because it's providing distraction to a wacko pp who loves to antagonize people by making wild statements.

It's to my everlasting shame that I'm actually enjoying swatting the ball back over the net at him. Teasing the mentally ill has got to be the ugliest, most immature character flaw there is. I need help.

You are right. I am shaking all over and can't stop.

Can you set up an opportunity to get under the boards with him? I'll be there in a minute.

No wait. He has shrunk from Sara Palin's challenge long ago.

Why does he make a pretense to be Christian when we all know his background there was the local racist organization run by Rev. Wright in Chicago?

While the president of the United States is never completely on vacation, most commanders-in-chief manage to enjoy a respite from the daily grind during their stay the White House. George W. Bush seems to have taken this to the extreme early in his tenure as president. A humorous, fake resume for Bush suggests that he set the record for most days on vacation by any president in U.S. history -- a bit of an exaggeration, but still cause for some teasing.

According to an August 2003 article in the Washington Post, President Bush has spent all or part of 166 days during his presidency at his Crawford, Texas, ranch or en route. Add the time spent at or en route to the presidential retreat of Camp David and at the Bush family estate in Kennebunkport, Maine, and Bush has taken 250 days off as of August 2003. That's 27% of his presidency spent on vacation. Although to be fair, much of this time is classified as a "working vacation."

Bush isn't the first president to get away from his work. George Bush Sr. took all or part of 543 vacation days at Camp David and in Kennebunkport. Ronald Reagan spent 335 days at or en route to his Santa Barbara, California, ranch during his eight years in office. Of recent presidents, Jimmy Carter took the least days off -- only 79 days, which he usually spent at his home in Georgia. That's less than three weeks a year, which is closer to the average American's paid time off of 13 days per year.

What about Clinton? As of December 1999, President Bill Clinton had spent only 152 days on holiday during his two terms, according to CBS News. A former staffer noted Clinton was such a workaholic that "it almost killed Clinton to take one-week vacations during August." In 2000, Clinton cut his summer vacation short to just three days, so he and his wife could concentrate on her Senate race and fundraising for Democrats. While we couldn't find the exact tally for Clinton's last year in office, it's reasonable to expect he didn't increase his vacation rate. And in barely three years in office, George W. Bush has already taken more vacation than Clinton did in seven years.

This was surprising because I would have said his immediate predecessor or 43.

This is false. Bush took more vacations than Obama - including in 2001 and 2002. And if you're referring to the India trip with the "drunk sailor" comment, you've been misled. Obama spent no more on that trip than any other President AND Bush far outspent Obama in the Congressional budget. I know its romantic to believe that Obama does everything bigger and worse than any other president, but if you did an ounce of homework you would know that's not true.

And as for church, that's really none of my business, nor is it yours.

I am lazy and hate homework. How much did he spend to keep unemployment under 8%?

How much did he spend on "no more earmarks" (no more if you begin counting a 6,000)?

One of those earmark projects was pulling a good roof off a liquor warehouse in Montana or Idaho to install skylights and save on electricity. What genius! Who could make up anything so silly? Well, I guess we have the answer.
