She was an urban mom, btw. |
Everyone is speculating if she was an alcoholic or not - as if being one is bad. It's a disease. |
yeah, I think racism is a big part of this story. ![]() horrible tragedy. no idea if she was an alcoholic or not. however, she apparently was drunk that night or that morning. surprised no more details came out since this story a few months ago. |
White suburban mom? She lived right in the middle of Capitol Hill. Get that chip off of your shoulder. |
I've followed the Ashley Turton story from the beginning, as it was a truly compelling cautionary tale of "having it all" and "losing it all."
My takeaway is that the world is increasingly stressed out, and as a result of all this hectic frantic-ness, seemingly smart people are doing really dumb things like drinking to excess. This sort of "release" is fraught with problems, yet it continues. "Just having a bit of fun!" Take a look at Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda getting giggly and smashed on morning TV. The ratings soar and the behavior is condoned. |
The behavior of the outliers (poor and rich) often mirror one another. |
Any follow up? It is interesting how the whole story died down. Intoxicated at 5 am?
I wonder if it is all quiet because of her husband's work at the White House. |
Whatever happened to this story? |
She's still dead. The fact that you have heard nothing more of it, not a peep means: 1. there was no foul play involved 2. there was no one to sue in civil court for a gigantic settlement, in an attempt to shift the blame from the deceased woman onto ... the company that made her garage door, or the restaurant that sold her alcohol. etc. |
Family has made their peace with it, remarried, etc. |
Is this true or are you speculating? |
Police ruled it accidental. |
To the PP, that's a little personal to post on a forum, no?
I wish them a lifetime of health, happiness, and love. No one is more deserving than that family. |
