I read Kamala Harris’ book and these were my takeaways: 1. She is not necessarily a bad person, but she doesn’t really stand for anything. 2. Her political instincts are bad. Really bad. In the book she waxes poetic about her love of Israel “since childhood” and it’s just a terribly bizarre tangent that makes no sense. It’s given as her explanation of why she didn’t push back harder on Israel during the genocide. At the same time, she says “Palestinians have rights too.” Well that’s fabulous huh. Also, Why would half Indian half Haitian Kamala Harris give two shits about Israel as a child? Further, why would she go out of her way to declare her intense love of Israel in this environment where Israel conducts genocides and ethnic cleansing on the American dime and Americans are increasingly sick of it? Just utterly dumb. She can’t win on the national stage. |
I just don’t understand how in this environment with this president you can criticize a former First Lady, who is a private citizen and has no conflicts, for having a business. |
Yes, there was very little commentary from the left several weeks back when the former Lt. Governor of Virginia, Justin Fairfax murdered his wife and then killed himself. IOKIYAD |
NP. I didn't read her book because I knew it would be utterly fake and meaningless -- much like the candidate herself. I think you've nailed why Harris is so uninspiring. She stands for nothing and she isn't a good enough actress to sell the positions she takes. I think a big part of why Trump was able to wreck her by publicizing her awful primary campaign promise of taxpayer-funded sex changes for undocumented prisoners is because it was obvious she didn't believe for a second that funneling taxpayer money to criminals for gender surgeries was a righteous act. She was just saying whatever she needed to get the endorsement of LGBTQ powerbrokers because she has no convictions beyond getting ahead. |
| Kamala may get the nomunation for the Democratic Party, but she will never win a national election. |
Let her run if you want JD Vance or that dude from florida in the white house. |
| If Harris is considering a run in 2028, the only way to make to her appeal even less to middle America is to buy a multiple million dollar house in Malibu. She can't be that poor of reading a room. |
Neither of them are competitive (assuming you mean governor lifts). Those are like the only two idiots she could beat. |
There are prob many people who know Vance commenting on here. |
This is the person who thought it was a good idea to say she wouldn't do a thing different from Biden during a campaign she was running only because of a national backlash against Biden. I know we're all supposed to be pretending she was some perfect candidate who lost only because of racism, sexism, and Elon Musk stealing the election for Trump, but her political instincts are nonexistent and she has zero ability to think on her feet. She gives off the vibe of someone who failed up by knowing how to get in good with powerbrokers. |
She doesn't have a shot at presidency but should ditch him and focus on her career. She can be next Nancy Pelosi or something. |
Sure, MAGA. |
Try learning to read the room and understand the political views of potential voters. |
No. AOC will be the next Nancy Pelosi and probably pretty good too. Harris needs to go back to lawyering. |
I assumed the dude from Florida was Rubio. |
