I see they have a Girls Academy Director and an Academy Director. Not sure the difference between the 2. |
| They are waiting for feedback from the person that is always complaining about how much the ASA director makes until they can hire him |
I’m one of those people, and my only dog in the fight is as an Alexandria taxpayer - could not care less about the soccer as my kids are adults (who never played soccer). |
So why are you even in this forum? You do realize this forum is about soccer right? |
Right - and ASA is a soccer non-profit…. So about soccer. |
| ASA Keyboard warrior said top dollar? No way they are taking a pay cut to hire proper coaching. Deflection at its best. |
Show me on this doll where this ASA keyboard warrior touched you |
Figures since they've been ignoring the prior U16 (2010s) coaching for years and are just waiting for them to age out. |
You are a strange person. Losing my faith in the types of folks that come to this forum haha |
ASA seems pleased with the results and development of the 2010 team and will retain the same coach for a third straight year. |
| That 2010 team is not the same group of kids from a few years back. Kids have left in the last few years due to bad coaching. And more are planning on leaving. So, no, ASA is not pleased with development; they just don’t care enough. They figure there are enough kids out there who want the MLSNext badge and will ignore everything else. |
For 2025-2026 the team won 4 games, lost 15, tied 3. No one is pleased with that. |
|
2010 coach was the 2012 coach. 2012 have lost half their team to DCU and the other half does not like the 2010 coach.
|
He only became the coach after the previous coach left mid season for IMG in March. He “inherited them” and was not responsible to collecting the talent or their previously good record. Once he started coaching them in March, they suddenly started losing. The DCU offers had already gone out before he became the new coach. He had only been the coach from March 2026 to May. Get the actual story straight. The coach is a nice person but not a good coach and definitely not an MLS Next level coach. But ASA just keeps him there, because, who knows why. |
| Ma6be ASA doesn't have any other options and doesn't attract good coaches. |
