Oh, then we can argue over what “travel” means. This board is just hilariously entertaining |
As in travel versus rec levels |
|
Huh? |
You don't know there are travel teams and recreational teams? |
You missed the entire point Einstein. Travel level play without travel level distances. What the hell does that even mean. Does that help your comprehension? |
I believe it means travel quality teams should play other travel quality teams in their immediate local area without unnecessary long drives for parents |
|
So then its not travel then right? |
Most of what we call travel soccer should be called club soccer. Like how track and swimming do it. It just means you are paying more for a professional coach as opposed to a volunteer, and practices are more frequent and geared toward kids who want to be more serious, with lineups that maximize a team’s chances for success vs. giving everyone an equal chance at participation. Most competition is local unless or until you reach an elite level where you truly have to leave the state/region/country for adequate competition. |
Makes sense Though I thought everyone knew 'travel' was just the level above 'rec' Not about distance of commute |
