Kenyon is a great school and was perfect on paper for my DS but when we visited, he could not get out of there fast enough. The vibes were really off. Cliquey and judgmental. I felt transported back to my high school cafeteria lol. We have visited a ton of SLACs and I never felt bad vibes at any of the others - tiny and isolated is definitely my kid’s style. But more than any of the schools we have visited, I think it’s a love it or hate it kind of place as it’s a very specific vibe that requires a visit to see if it’s a fit. All the schools on OPs list are great. It’s just going to come down to which one clicks for her kid. |
Bull crap. Wesleyan #13 Richmond #22 (but best career outcomes and IB/MC pipeline) Denison #34 Kenyon #45 Muhlenberg #70 Susquehanna #96 Kenyon is a fine school but middle of the pack in this list. Richmond is the move. |
| Richmond is not that fratty. It has changed a lot recently. Pretty diverse actually. My kids is there and loves it. Not in a frat. Great friends, tons of opportunies due to the large endowment, great size on the larger end of SLACs, D1 sports (not super rah rah by any means but fun and top 10 lax). He is really happy there. |
But then you'd be in a college with the kind of people who go into fields like IB and MC. |
