DP. Of course there are, but the anti-Israel poster above isn’t articulating any of them. S/he just sounds deranged. |
Wow talk about derangement syndrome. Israel is a tiny country wholly dependent on one country’s hand me down and charity. Saying the major employers in Israel tech industry like Intel, Microsoft, Google, Applied Materials, etc are Israeli startups and owned by Israel is laughable. |
Nobody says that. But, we're waiting to hear the facts underlying the remarkable claim that Israel is "wholly dependent on one country's hand me down and charity", although even if that were true, which it obviously isn't, so what? If that's the worst that can be said about it, it's hardly a devastating critique of any kind. Plenty of countries around the world receive aid from various patrons, patrons including Iran, Venezuela (until recently, anyway) North Korea, China, Russia, and other countries which seem to have escaped your notice as actually worthy of criticism. What is actually true, but hardly a negative, is that the U.S. is Israel's largest trading partner. You'll be amazed to learn that every single country on the planet has another country which is its largest trading partner, too. Who would have guessed that such relationships exist? Or that something is wrong with them? Or that such relationships ca be mutually beneficial, as is the case with the U.S. and Israel? https://www.hudson.org/economics/economic-case-us-israel-partnership-zineb-riboua https://www.gov.il/en/pages/economy-sectors-of-the-israeli-economy https://www.csis.org/blogs/perspectives-innovation/sustaining-israels-innovation-economy |
It’s still here. Unfortunate. |
Really? That’s odd because one only needs to utter two words to prevail in any such discussion. Eight letters. West Bank |
Regional democracy? Netanyahu’s been in office for 30 years off and on. Iran and Egypt had three presidents each since 2009. Israel isn’t a real democracy . It doesn’t even believe in free speech. Try being an Israeli with a differing opinion about the current war. You will get threats. In Florida right now, cops will come to your home if you write a post critical of Israel. I guess police have nowhere else they can be using their time wisely (like stopping street crime) |
It’s not just one poster critical of Israel but I guess it’s nice to pretend |
Imagine the deranged mind of a person who argues incessantly that anti-semitism is the greatest crisis facing America right now AND that anti-Zionism is anti-semitism hiding behind a mask … BUT there’s just one (apparently quite busy) person with an ax to grind posting criticisms of Israel in this community. |
Imagine being oblivious to the fact that there is a single far left poster who spams this board (and other DCUM forums) with dozens (and sometimes hundreds) of posts every day. Not limited to anti-Israel content, but it’s certainly one of their pet topics. They’re tightly wound (tantrums), quickly resort to name calling, and play fast and loose with the facts. You think that’s a benefit to the community? |
I agree that tantrums, name calling, and false claims don’t benefit anyone in this community, or in any community. But based on my experiences, I firmly disagree that there’s one anti-Israel critic in the community. I’m also very confident that Jeff can validate that view. I also think it’s mind-boggling that you believe that it’s the anti-Israel posters in this community who are the most guilty of name calling and playing “fast and loose with the facts”. If I asked every pro-Israel individual who has posted in this community whether they have ever labelled another poster who has criticized Israel as “pro-Hamas” or a “terrorist sympathizer”, and they were forced to answer honestly, the result would be 100% guilty. In my experience, nobody name calls or distorts the facts like pro-Israel posters. posters. Second place isn’t even in the same universe, as far as I’ve seen. |
Monomania defined. A singlular obsession with a singular proposition, supported by only straw man fabrications and non sequiturs, like her claim that Florida opposes anti-Israeli hate speech. |
Florida goes a lot further than opposing anti-Israel hate speech, kemosabe. The threshold is much, much, much lower that hate speech. Unless, of course, you also want to distort the meaning of the term “hate speech”, that is. https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2025/1519/Analyses/h1519c.SAC.PDF Bottom line, it’s absolutely embarrassing that a state would codify anything like this, based on distorted definitions that are preposterous through any lens but the insanity lens. I don’t want to support any political party that supports this insanity, or any politician who supports this insanity. |
