You should go to the county council meeting and address this. |
| also, this isn't' the first year there hasn't been a scoreboard at districts and regionals. Swim gets treated like second class. Again, what basketball or football regular season game is played at the HS level without a functioning scoreboard. And this is for post season. Its disrespectful to the sport and the athletes |
| 100%, parents should push to get that changed for swim |

The funny thing about this entire string is that there WAS a scoreboard on Friday, as was mentioned early in the thread but quickly forgotten.
Because the large scoreboard is unreliable, the organizers brought a backup scoreboard and set it up on the diving platform. Sure, it was the single line type that scrolls through one lane at a time, but it is a scoreboard with the correct times and places instantly. But sure, the organizers who brought a backup scoreboard probably forgot to ask the front desk clerk to turn the big scoreboard on. |
- the electronic results display was screwed up because the lane and place were swapped. So as it scrolled through, it was difficult to decipher place and time for the lane you were looking for and it often stopped and never showed the results for the last two places. The real scoreboard was on the whole meet- showing rec center ads. No one needed to turn it on. That large scoreboard is the opposite of unreliable - it worked great at Saturday. You sound dim. |
| tonight did the scoreboard work? |
It did!
