If you believe God is the Creator, do you believe that He made us perfectly until the fall of humanity?

The first part of your sentence is a false premise. God is not the creator. If he was, he is a terrible designer.

I asked the people blaming God for the bad design of humans if they believed that God was the Creator, and if they believe that, if they believe in the fall of man.

I do believe God is the Creator. It’s not false, it’s my belief.

It is possible to have false beliefs. e.g., lots of people (usually children) believe in the Easter bunny and Santa Claus and God. Some adults still believe in God.

So you know which beliefs are false?

God is a theological belief. Santa and the Easter Bunny are cultural, fictional figures.

Approximately 81% to 83% of U.S. adults believe in God or a universal spirit.

Approximately 72% to over 80% of the global population believes in God or a higher power, according to various international studies. While roughly 84% of the world's population identifies with a religious group, the number of believers in God—including those not affiliated with a formal religion—remains high, particularly in regions like Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Are you saying that God is not a cultural, fictional, belief like the others? I say that it is. Why wouldn't it be? Just because you believe it as an adult?

And this God of yours -- I bet you believe that he has only only set of characteristics and that other people who believe in a God or God with other characteristics are wrong about their god(s) and you are right.

You would lose whatever bet you placed about what I believe. I have no idea why you have an interest in my beliefs? You seem to be so ranting and angry about my supposed beliefs you typed “only” twice in your hurry to spout about what you “bet” I believe.

I don’t care what you think about my beliefs and the fact you are mad about what others believe is a you problem. Find a healthy hobby or speak to a good therapist and ask them why the beliefs of others (especially absolute anonymous faceless strangers on the internet) move you so.

I bet you believe in stupid shit, that is the basic point of being a believer. Belief is not based on facts or evidence, just the "feels"

“The assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1).

Huh? What is this response supposed to mean? Quoting from an old book of fictional tales doesn't convey some profound meaning.

+1. Sounds like pp is accustomed to quoting the Bible as a means of authoritatively ending conversations. Sorry -- it doesn't work outside of church

The Bible is a foundational collection of 66 sacred books, recognized by Christians as the inspired Word of God and a primary guide for faith, comprising the Old Testament (39 books) and New Testament (27 books). It tells a unified story of God’s love, redemption, and plan for humanity through the work of Jesus Christ, written by over 40 authors over 1,500 years.

The Bible is widely recognized as the best-selling book of all time. According to Guinness World Records, it is the best-selling book of non-fiction, with an estimated 5 to 7 billion copies printed and distributed since its contents were standardized roughly 1,500 years ago.

The Bible has a diverse array of genres: historical narrative, poetry, wisdom literature, prophecy, letters, and apocalyptic literature.

Failing to take a book's or chapter's genre into consideration can in some cases lead to harmful misinterpretations.

We went to a pediatric dentist who also did orthodonture (so wasn't reliant on that for his whole business). I asked about it when my kids were in ES and it seemed half the kids we knew were in phase 1 of braces/expanders/etc. One of our kids had wonky teeth, and I knew he was likely going to have braces. Our dentist insisted on waiting and watching and said he didn't do any braces until all the baby teeth were out. He said for the great majority of kids the 2-phase thing was purely a money maker for orthodontists. In the end, we waited for the baby teeth to be out. At 14, DS started Invisalign, it took 18 mos and his teeth are perfect.

My kid had teeth going in all kinds of directions that could permanently damage the root structure of other teeth. We did early orthodontics and only needed one round because all adult teeth came in by 11.5

Comic books and other fiction do too but we don't give them the same veneration or justification to do shitty things to other people.

It is pure fiction and fantasy. Nothing more no matter how many "Christians" "believe" it to be so.

The Bible has a diverse array of genres: historical narrative, poetry, wisdom literature, prophecy, letters, and apocalyptic literature.

Failing to take a book's or chapter's genre into consideration can in some cases lead to harmful misinterpretations.

Comic books and other fiction do too but we don't give them the same veneration or justification to do shitty things to other people.

The Bible is a collection of ancient texts and comic books are stories told in graphics and panels. A comic books takes about a month to create, but the Bible took centuries to write. A comic book has one author and the Bible has dozens of authors

Are you saying that God is not a cultural, fictional, belief like the others? I say that it is. Why wouldn't it be? Just because you believe it as an adult?

Because people are too afraid to accept truth that the Bible is fiction.

The New Testament epistles—correspondence between the apostles and the early churches—are filled with localities, known individuals, past encounters, and future plans for visitation and ministry. One can hardly read these letters and conclude they are self-consciously works of fiction.

Ancient Near Eastern historian and Egyptologist K.A. Kitchen conducted an in-depth exploration of Old Testament historicity in a book called On the Reliability of the Old Testament. After walking the reader through a copious amount of data comparing the Bible and the historical record, Kitchen concludes that the Old Testament writings “are by no means pure fiction—in fact, there is very little proven fiction in them overall.”

I've seen Bibles in the fiction section. I think someone moved them there. That's where they belong.

Yes, but many religions do not consider the Bible as authoritarian. This is the religion forum. It's not the Christianity forum.
