Husband went to a strip club.

I went to a strip club about a month ago and told my husband after the fact. He was…okay with it; but asked if I’d confer with him before going in the future. That’s probably a good policy.

This is so gross. Why is a married straight woman at a strip club?

Sex positivity has taken feminism back 50 years, I swear to god. Just look at the number of women in this thread claiming they go to strip clubs and the ones who don't are busy trying to explain stripping/OF are "honest work."

I fear for your daughters if that's what's being taught in your homes.

If that is where the captain was, he didn't have much choice. Also I can imagine the strip clubs in an Alaskan fishing village or port are probably not high end!

Yep. I'm from Anchorage and this is a thing.

My brother fishes commercially and I don’t think anything of this at all. It’s like meeting in a Starbucks around here.

Why do you assume she's straight? My wife likes a strip club but she's definitely not straight.

This is PP, definitely not teaching this in my home. It was sleazy. For sure.

My wife is also married to a man (me). Bisexual people exist.

I mean, it is honest work? I personally found myself totally on my own at 18 and stripping is one of the only jobs an 18 year old with no experience or education can work that allows them to support themselves and pay for school. I paid for my whole college degree in cash and now have a corporate job. It was a perfectly legal job and I paid my taxes. And now I don’t have student loans.

Oh yeah and most strippers are not trying to date or sleep with the customers. They’re trying to make money on their shift and go home to their husbands or boyfriends.

I would personally not worry about a one off trip to the club. But I would be concerned if your husband is a strip club “regular” who goes weekly to see the same dancer. Not because he’s going to get sex but because he’s going to spend all your money on a parasocial relationship.

I mean, what if she further limits visitation to his testicles? Sounds like he doesn’t get to see them much as is.

*shrug* sorry you don't have a partner who respects you. Mine respects me, and he runs things by me before doing them.

He also gets laid like tile, because when you trust a guy, you want to sleep with him more. Who knew?

People with the attitude that they should be able to do whatever they want and their partner needs to suck it up or else she's "mommy" shouldn't get married or be in a LTR. You don't want a relationship, you want a living blow-up doll for your convenience only. Relationships are a two-way street.

Don't let the trolls get you down. I think it's wonderful that you have a husband who respects you and wants to make sure he isn't pissing off his partner. The people who plow through life doing whatever they want whenever they want with no consideration to their spouse are not the person you want in your life. Perhaps these people are neglected for OFs or strippers and resent the relationship you have, who knows.
