Get the number of that "former friend" and let your kid talk or text that "former friend." Stay out of it busybody.

YES! Why don't you reach out? I'm sure your friends would love to hear from you. This seriously is exactly what is wrong with society today, especially places like the DMV. You won't reach out to a former friend to extend a human connection or tell them that you're thinking of them but you will stalk them in social media. ☹️

If there were an easy, non-awkward way of doing that I’d be up for it. But I’m already struggling to keep up with current social events plus aging parents, work, etc.

My kid was talking about doing a “reunion” with one of these old peer groups toward the end of the school year. But they already keep in touch.

Highly doubt you are busy. You have time to reply to almost each post here. And to think of people who are no longer in your circle. If you have many minutes to post here,you certainly had many minutes to do a "quick" keeping in touch with them over the years. Creepy of you

Just FYI - many kids don’t bother posting their college destinations on IG. This is hardly a reliable way to see which schools send kids to which colleges.

I don’t think it's creepy to look at trends of where neighborhood HS kids are going to college with a break out by school. It's interesting to see that so many are going to southern schools like Tulane ans Wake Forest, for example
