If Harris had won, there wouldn't be National Guard members forced to abandon their regular lives to be deployed to cities that have no need for them. The NG is there to help with national disasters. Not to do gardening on federal property and wander around DC.

But the entire point of deploying National Guard to cities was to wait for the invariable crazy man or teenager with a gun to shoot them. NG was deployed as bait. And now Republicans get to do what they really want to do. Authoritarianism is borne out of tragedies like this.

I do not believe the NG was deployed as bait to the radical left. I do believe that violent people exist and do tremendous damage and that those people feel they have justification in many cases. However, there is NO justification for murder. None. N-O-N-E. And if you can't agree with that then consider what it means to live in a society again. OMG of course they were put there from red states only to bait people! How in the world do you not understand that? They are picking up Mulch for god;s sake. Not their dam job. And judges all over this country are agreeing these guard deployments are illegal. ie unconsitutional.
