I agree with you in theory but not in this specific situation: writings in chalk that do not threaten anyone can hardly be traumatic. It's the parents who are crying wolf to get sympathy from their supporters, and they're the ones traumatizing their own children by making such a big deal out of it and moving houses. The rest of us see them for the liars they are. They have perpetrated actual physical harm on thousands of others, including children, so no, I utterly reject your argument.

If you find the message “no white nationalism“ in sidewalk chalk traumatic, maybe you should rethink some life choices.

Namely, asking oneself whether one's white nationalism is a healthy moral choice. I do not doubt Miller and his wife are very aware of their own racial, cultural and ethnic preferences. I would love for them to explain to me one day exactly how they think it's a fair doctrine for all.

N Arlington has a decent amount of MAGA for its liberal reputation but it’s not in your face or openly broadcast. 80% to Kamala still means 1 out of 5 people voted for Trump. We know a ton of MAGA Republicans who own homes and are raising families here (and sending them to APS). I’d bet at least a handful of people you assume are Dem are actually MAGA based on the 80/20 split.

Same. Just on one of my kid's sports teams there are maybe 4 families who are not ashamed to say they voted for T and even wear the 45/47 gear. They are mostly UMC people who belong to WCC. They don't really talk about it much anymore though.
