No. He just has extremely poor taste in humor in private texting.

And his point was legit: republicans don’t think anything is a problem unless it’s a problem for them personally. They have zero ability to understand other people’s struggles, feelings, or experiences…until they experience it themselves. Then a light bulb goes off and they decide it matters. Happens over and over again.

Read up on this disgusting saga out of Fairfax County. Miyares decided to “investigate” the falsified claims of a right wing lunatic about FCPS sponsoring abortions right at the start of election season in the hopes of riling up the “parents rights” crowd:

https://wjla.com/resources/pdf/2cc75b08-1116-4f49-81ad-da23af91b5ae-2025.10.16_ltr_to_b_cassidy.pdf

Completely discredited.

Has Miyares acknowledged his attempt to drum up widespread outrage against innocent educators for political points? No.

That’s who you’re voting for. Someone who destroys lives for votes.

FCPS investigated itself and found no evidence of wrong doing. I feel shocked, Cotton.

I’d say the testimony of the allegedly coerced student saying it’s 100% false is pretty persuasive. Miyares office apparently agreed when they sat on the allegations for well over a year until they decided they could use such an investigation for political gain.

I suggest asking Student B. No one has done that. Student B didn't write the statement because Student B attends FCPS and is probably illiterate in two languages.

The argument that the statement is false because it wasn't written by the signer is a weak attack. I don't write half the things I sign. Does that make them false?

Student B has disappeared. Going to guess she got caught up in the ICE dragnet. But you are correct, she probably is illiterate because she was homeless, without parents, and on drugs/alcohol at the time everything went down. Very convenient for Perez to make up some fake statement after the fact.

Do you want to know what else was false? Perez titling a student’s car in her own name to save the family money on car insurance. The insurance company might even go so far as to call that “fraud.” Once you’ve convinced yourself it’s ok to commit fraud for the “right reasons”, it’s a slippery slope.

Convenient for FCPS that stands to lose quite a bit.

Miyares only does political acts with his AG office. He is steeped in culture wars and attacking his enemies, just like Trump. It costs us time and resources in nova because he is constantly starting sham investigations.

And miyares supports Trump 100%. When Trump wants to steal the next election, he will have an ally in VA if Miyares is elected again.

I am also contemplating write-in but coming to the conclusion that will leave us with Miyares. And that is not okay with me.

If you want to believe a crank with a proven history of lying and breaking laws and regulations over King and Spaulding attorneys, go right ahead.

That really is the choice. Miyares or not Miyares. We know what the Republicans say when they think no one is listening and it sure isn’t pretty. Makes Jones look like a nun.

Sure write somebody in like DH voted for Gary Johnson because he was worried "Hillary would win by a landslide."

FCPS hired King and Spalding. Do you really think that firm was going to find their client in the wrong?

Did you really think the “nation’s preeminent pro life law firm” was going to tell the truth about what Perez was up to?

Another reason to avoid Miyares. “Miyares has received about $1.1 million this year from Dominion Energy, making the utility giant his third-largest donor. Miyares has raised about $16.6 million in the race.”
