World Cup 2026

Early story line is these African sides came to PLAY.

Messi and Mbappe making compelling arguments for best player. Meanwhile, Ronaldo doing nothing. And that makes me unreasonably happy. I'm sure Messi's hat trick burns for Ronaldo.

Ronaldo is a pathetic flopper

Alexi Lalas is a POS

Zlatan is worse. He can't even banter. I'm having a hard time understanding all the commentators at this world cup. I've listened to a million interviews with Thierry Henry and at this world cup I can barely understand him or anyone else. I miss the EPL announcers.

Absolutely astonishing! And CV committed only a single foul on the way to the draw!

That was an amazing match to watch. Vozinha for president.

English is probably zlatan’s fourth language. Chicharito’s tone is hilarious. The old German goalkeeper is okay though.

Peter Schmeichel? He’s Danish.

I love Thierry Henry. I think his commentary is always great, and he’s funny. But he’s a low-talker. I have to turn the volume up when he speaks.

I'm French, bilingual, and I can barely understand Thierry's English His accent is worse than my husband's accent when he speaks English!

I don't need commentators anyway. Just let me watch the games in peace.

How is Carlo Ancelotti managing to wear a 3 piece suite in this heat? I am in awe

We went to the US game in Seattle today. It was an amazing experience, other than the people in the rows above us thought it was fun to douse everyone with beer after the goals/VAR confirmation of the second goal. We were NOT in the supporters section.

Not sure why anyone thinks this is a good idea. It was so gross!

I used to be able to understand him but am having a hard time at this world cup. It's frustrating. I love Rebecca Lowe and Henry but can't stand any of the others.
