You have an extra ticket?

Not yet, I am in 2 ticket lotteries though. I hope to be eligible to buy them next month at the face price instead of later at the marked up resale price.

I'm planning to go to CdM, but I don't expect to actually attend a match at the stadium. I will find some venue where we can watch the game with the public. The hassle of attending the actual game (transportation to the stadium going through security, dealing with a huge crowd in a small space, leaving at the end of the game) is not worth it.

At first I planned on spending the whole summer trying to maximize the games we'd see with my son who is into soccer.

Now it seems more likely we'll go to one game in the group stage in a nearby city and call it a day. The last WC was a missed opportunity I think because the country was so small you could go to tons of games without much travel and FIFA hadn't invented surge pricing.

We are planning one game in Toronto, it's a day trip for us. But if we don't get tickets I won't be overly concerned, I do at least feel a little more confident that it will be less of a mess in Canada then many of the US cities.

Maybe more tickets will be available if people decide not to go watch in-person? Or more folks from other countries will try to get the tickets and fly or drive to N. America to watch

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cdjzknpxlv2o prices for world cup tickets are obscene. The majority of US residents as well as international people will be priced out

I would NEVER pay that much for tickets for something I can watch on TV.

You are not the target market - the tickets are ridiculously priced though and they better sell out (might take some dynamic pricing - in the DOWNWARD way)

No. Too expensive.
