Time for Kash Patel to go -- he's botched the Epstein Files, he made a fool of himself on the Kirk Stuff...

No, but when he embarrassed Trump I thnk that should be the end of it. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to cause mayhem at the FBI, there are plenty of other people Trump can throw in there. Get this dud out.

Trump embarrasses himself on the daily. The whole crew is a shameless pack of incompetent frauds with no achievements to their name except being professional clowns, which is sadly quite profitable these days.

Alternatively, a major conservative figure was killed, the investigation was botched and everyone is afraid. Putting in a competent person who makes Trump look like the hero would work.

Trump hates competent people and competent people hate Trump. The competent people pull Trump's strings from the sidelines.

Patel embarrassed himself further in his Congressional hearing today.

Patel hearing: Kash Patel, the F.B.I. director, traded barbs with Democratic senators on the Judiciary Committee during a hearing on Tuesday as he faced questions about his leadership of the nation’s premier law enforcement agency. He called Democrats “disgraceful” for asking informational questions and engaged in a brief shouting match with Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey. The committee’s Republicans were much more welcoming of Mr. Patel, who came under increased scrutiny after the killing of Charlie Kirk for missteps that included Mr. Patel’s release of false information on the manhunt.

Gift article from the NYT about the incredibly unfair firings of two FBI agents who were accused by an influencer of being in charge of anti-Trump FBI investigations. One of the agent's wife was dying of adrenal cancer at the time:

That was a truly disturbing article. Basically some right wing nutjob podcaster said that
a military vet/FBI guy with a stellar record was responsible for working a case related to one of the Trump investigations. So Patel ordered him fired.

Forget for a minute that FBI officials don’t get a choice in what cases they work-it’s about the mandate of the agency. It’s even worse-Patel fired this guy even when multiple people told him that the guy didn’t even work on the cases in question because of the perception that the guy worked on the Trump case. And when The NY Times interviews the right wing podcaster about checking facts that were said on air that were entirely false , the podcaster said “he never intended for someone to get fired.” Lazy incompetent liars are ruining the lives of decorated military vets/highly competent career officials.

Patel got into a second shouting match and called a Senator who questioned him a “liar and a buffoon.”

Kash Patel’s appearance in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee has erupted for a second time into a shouting match — this time as Patel, the F.B.I. director, and Senator Adam Schiff, Democrat of California, yelled at one another over questions concerning a recent Justice Department interview with Ghislaine Maxwell, a close associate of Jeffrey Epstein. Schiff expressed outrage that Patel claimed he had no knowledge of why Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sex-trafficking sentence related to the Epstein investigation, had been moved to a minimum-security facility after speaking with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who was once President Trump’s defense attorney. Schiff’s comments prompted a sustained outburst from Patel, who called the senator a “liar” and a “political buffoon.”

To be fair, he did come out in favor of gun control. Oddly.

When being questioned by Klobucher:

"Kash Patel when asked by Senator Klobuchar about an Assault Weapons ban:

"Senator, I think there are instances on this legislation that could prevent future attacks, but I’m not going to weigh in to the creation of legislation.""

Seriously? MAGA isn’t going to like that. Kash patel is an unprepared loose cannon.

Not surprised that Patel fired competent career agents based on social media conspiracy stories. He should never have been confirmed as FBI director in the first place.

He's a dangerous mix of arrogant and immature.

How do so many buffoons rise to these important positions. Insane.

Why "embarrassed himself"? This is his MO, what he's known for, why he was nominated, and he was confirmed with Senators knowing him as an open book. They are all find with this behavior and T loves it.

The story made me want to cry and scream. The first comment is so on point. Those 2 men served their country in combat and put their lives at risk. All to be treated this way by people who have never put anything before themselves.

Kash Patel is covering up for Epstein.

Three cheers for Dick Durbin.
https://newrepublic.com/post/200509/kash-patel-firing-fbi-agents-defense-one-side

“It appears that you terminated these two agents. Why?” asked Durbin.

“I’m not going to get into personnel decisions that we made,” Patel replied.

“So you’re not accountable for your decisions to take people who’ve served our country so admirably, and terminate them without any cause?” Durbin asked.

“Anyone that has been terminated from the FBI generally speaking failed to meet the needs of the FBI and uphold their constitutional duties, and you providing a one-sided story from your perch is absolutely disgraceful because the men and women of the FBI deserve better,” Patel continued. “And your attack on the current leadership of the men and women of the FBI is equally disgraceful, ’cause now you’re attacking the leaders that are our brave SACs in the field that are doing the job that this county needs, and we will continue to do it.”

“It’s disgraceful when Mr. Meyer and Mr. Giardina, who served our country so well, are terminated apparently because of the rants of a podcaster,” Durbin said.

“That is your opinion, it is not a fact,” Patel retorted.

“Well, it certainly is my opinion I could back up with fact,” Durbin said.
