John Lynch was the founder. |
Just outside of Philadelphia. Not the same southern style, just another house with good old bones for comparison.

how do you even furnish places like this? you probably have to spend 100k+ to get new furniture. |
Lynchburg is probably the largest small town in Virginia. The downtown and riverfront are quaint, walkable, and have a couple of decent restaurants. It’s been transformed over the last 10years with the old buildings having been renovated into lofts.
Don’t know if we could live there because we enjoy traffic, rude people, bad drivers, gas stations and strip malls on every corner too much, but we visit family periodically so we’re familiar. The op house is not in the better part of town which is where this house is. https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/3021-Rivermont-Ave-Lynchburg-VA-24503/79159914_zpid/ The latter they put easily a million or two or thee into renovating it top to bottom, inside and out. The houses on this side of Rivermont out to Trent’s Ferry are old money, doctors, lawyers, business and self made types. |
That other house also is on like 10 acres of land so it's a bona fide mansion estate as opposed to a nice city house. |
This is the kind of house I dream of owning but in reality know would be non-stop maintenance that costs way more than I can afford. |
Too funny. Although this mansion is gorgeous, I think I actually prefer the first house. There was obviously a ton of money put into the mansion, but (small voice) it ended up looking like every new build in this style. |
