NO, because he'd already spread his semen into the gene pool. It frustrates me when people invoke this 'Darwin award' nonsense anytime a stupid human does stupid human things and unalives themselves as a result. Darwin would ONLY apply if the person had never bred themselves into the gene pool. Darwin is about REPRODUCTIVE FITNESS. This guy already shared his stupid with a daughter and she will doubtless share it with other little morons ad infinitum. |
I find it baffling that there are still people into "big game hunting." The Trump boys are into this too. I don't understand it at all. There is nothing sporting or manly or athletic about pulling a trigger on a large, often endangered animal. This isn't hunting for food. It's just killing for the sake of killing. These people are psychopaths. The fact that the animal got the better of this man is nice karma. |
I don’t trust people who say “let’s go kill living creatures for fun” they can say it’s about conservation or its ethical because they eat it but the reality is they like killing. |
I am sure he was still considering reproducing. |
Being outdoors and sun exposure is rough on skin. |
Never heard of the military? |
Reminds me of the Italian restaurant near the bull fighting ring in Spain. A tourist was curious as to why one plate of spaghetti had huge meatballs. The owner said that it was because they were testicles from the bull that lost in the arena that day. Wow, said the tourist, how does one get that dish? The owner said there is a sign-up sheet, how long are you in town for? 2 weeks said the tourist so the owner was able to sign the tourist up for his last night in town. Fast forward 2 weeks and the tourist is back at the restaurant waiting for his special dish. The owner brings out the spaghetti dinner and the meatballs are small. The tourist said, I thought I was going to get the special meal with the bull’s testicles. The owner said you did get the special dish, it contains the testicles of the loser in the ring. It doesn’t happen often but today the bull won. |
Again, he successfully passed his genes to a next generation before dying. So not a Darwin Award winner. Those are (mostly) young morons who unalive themselves in foolish fashion before successfully reproducing. |
Save your hilarious indignation-the people aren't wrong in referencing it- you are. Children are not a disqualifier. The Darwin Awards covers the five rules of the award and addresses the issue: https://darwinawards.com/rules/rules1a.html Follow the logic, as per your last statement- all is not lost! The progeny are not ruled out from winning one day. |
I grew up in that world. There are plenty of times when hounds have "accidentally" catch and rip a fox apart: it's common practice, and some groups have zero intention of making sure it doesn't happen; they encourage it. Not every hunt and every group, but plenty. This has been happening for years and it happens today, both in the US and UK. |
How do we start a change.org petition so that PP's criteria are used instead? PP has never made a mistake before and it's not time to start. |
