Why would anyone do this?

My own aunt and uncle found out our second baby was born because my MIL posted his birth and name on Facebook. We had asked people not to post about it until we were home from the hospital and had a chance to do it ourselves. She didn’t mean any harm but I did have a right to tell people myself. We asked her to take her post down and she did, but you can’t really take that information back once it’s out there.
