That’s ridiculous. For someone so focused on getting others to respect your heritage, you’re awfully flippant about erasing other people’s heritage. |
I have heard only Tal Yuh and do not love the name.
Amelia? Cecilia? Ilana? Love this. Elena? Hanna? Delia? Siena? Not Samantha or Savannah Gia? Julia? Mia? Not Maya. Sofia? Mara? Rhea? Lea? Liliana? |
Arabic name |
I only like it when it’s pronounced with 3 syllables Tah—Lee—Ah = Talia and sounds very pretty.
I don’t like it when it’s rushed and all the vowels are skipped Tall—Yu sounds like you don’t want to say the name and you’re huffing it under your breath. |
Love it. One of my daughter's friends growing up is Talia. She was cute, smart as a whip, and hilarious. First and only person I have known with the name. |
To add: It is pronounced TAH-lee-yah. There is a Mexican singer with a similar name, Thalia that is pronounced Ta-LEE-yah. Both very pretty names. |
Oh, that's interesting. The people I've known with the name Thalia are all Greek and it is pronounced TAH-lee-ah (like Natalia). |
Not a fan |
Dislike. A lot. |
Why? |
tal ee like Cal ee. |
I know many Talia’s. Love the name. I only know one Natalie that goes by Tali. It’s a very popular name in my circle. |
I know two women called Talia, but short for Natalia- one Catholic (assume Italian or Croatian background by both parents last names, mom maintained her maiden name).
The other has a Russian sounding last name. Regardless of nickname or proper name, I think it is beautiful! |
I like the name! The only association I have is Talia al ghul but that’s probably not very common lol. |
I would not pronounce it like that |
