And Santa Clara |
Tulane offers merit scholarships, and has competitive full tuition scholarships. |
| Why do you think you deserve no flames for this post? You’ve just insulted an entire student body and their parents. I 🔥 you. |
Really? This does not line up with my knowledge, which is admittedly dated. Anyone else? |
You’ll live |
This is correct. 2 kids go there. |
My child attends and the Catholic community is prominent at Tulane and in NOLA. |
Are you Catholic? How is it prominent there? |
|
Not a parent, but went to Tulane Law.
It was the best 3 years of my life, because 1) I loved New Orleans and had wanted to live there anyway after reading books set there, and 2) it was the perfect law school because everyone was really smart and going places but not crazy-steal-books-from-the-library competitive and mean. We all just wanted to have a good time. And we still do ... as we always say: "The cult of Tulane is strong." |
Absolutely. It's New Orleans, and not all of the Catholics are at Loyola. |
Yes, really. |
I attended Tulane Law. It absolutely does line up with my knowledge of the school. Plenty of Catholics, and a strong community. New Orleans is very Catholic. |
Other than MA area, Northeastern is most popular from NY/JN area and California. It has nothing much to do with DMV specifically. |
Also, our state flagship is UMD College Park. It's 10 or so miles from our house. My daughter has no desire to go to college in or near her home town. |

Fun Tulane/Catholic fact: In the scene of the large gathering at St Peter's square when the new Pope was first announce, there is a prominent American flag waving.
The person waving the flag is a young American adult who is part of the Catholic ministry at Tulane. He grew up in Northern Virginia and went to school in MD. |
