What Medicaid population will lose benefits under this new bill?

So EVERYONE on Medicaid should be cut off because of your good friend's child?? Perhaps there is a reg requiring them to have to use Medicaid for all treatments as oppose to pick and choose.

Elderly people who are in nursing homes, can't work, and have no money left and sometimes no family, are just going to be out on the street.

Nothing is going to be “sorted”. You are going to let thousands of people die for every one person who abuses the system (and FYI, it’s hard to abuse this system.) Do you know ANY big program or organization where some a-hole doesn’t take advantage? You can’t run any big program without having some of that. And if THAT upsets you, wait until you hear about how our current president is abusing the system for his personal profit!

And this is going to shut down more rural hospitals and cancer treatment centers that make a large portion of their income on Medicaid patients. And their employees will
lose their jobs and move to cities. Rural areas are going to have very little healthcare at all.

I’m paying through the nose for private healthcare with a crazy high deductible. I’m tired of subsidizing everyone else. I don’t live in a rural area. I’ll be fine. And I didn’t vote for Trump. But not everything they are doing is wrong.

I've reported them plenty of times to SSDI. Nothing has come of it.

Uncle: fell from a ladder & broke a ton of bones in his legs, feet, and a hip fracture, too. This happened when he was in his early 40s and he's now 59. He's not worked a day since. Too painful to walk or stand for long periods, allegedly. It took almost 2 years to do it, but he was able to get SSDI. He's an avid hunter, fisherman, and ATV rider.

Cousin: has bad anxiety and was able to get SSDI relatively easily compared to what my uncle went through to get it. She's in her late 20s and has never held a job other than working at Dairy Queen for a few months when she was a teen.

Another cousin: A boating accident at 21 caused him to drown, but he was resuscitated. He got SSDI because he says he now has severe memory issues that prevent him from working. He spends his days at the gym and streaming himself playing video games on Twitch.

All of these relatives live in same state, West Virginia, but in different counties. They all have Medicaid.

Can you please substantiate your claim that elderly (I am assuming Medicare age people) who are so disabled they are in nursing homes will be targeted? Are they even using Medicaid to cover nursing homes or some other form of benefit for post-retirement age people with no assets, low fixed income?

We’ve had a 30% increase in Medicaid enrollment since 2020!!! That is unsustainable, our entitlement programs are crushing us with debt. How else do we solve without cuts to entitlement programs. Taxing the rich won’t solve the problem, doesn’t bend the curve enough. What do you suggest we do to solve the problem?

Medicaid reimbursements are low, so doctors and facilities charge the rest of us higher rates to make up for it. We don’t get to pay what Medicaid pays. And also, taxes pay for Medicaid, obviously.
