We already arm the enemies of the U.S. - have you the arms transfers to Israel?! (pro tip for spotting a troll who doesn’t care about America’s interests, by the way … ^^^ they instinctively use US rather than the appropriate U.S.) |
Germany has different laws around freedom of speech than we do, dear. |
You can't criticize German politicians. It's considered slander. |
O.K. |
We're talking about the First Amendment, not the Second Amendment--keep up. Plus people from other countries are usually not as gun crazy as Americans. PS. Visitors from other countries are not our enemies. Are you the enemy of any country you visit? |
They have every right to criticize us under the First Amendment. But, the First Amendment is not an automatic invitation for them to remain here. |
DP. Sone visitors absolutely are our enemies and are seeking and/or willing to damage our interests. Others are merely interested in advancing their own interests and agendas at our expense. Meddling in the internal domestic politics of another country as a visitor is wildly inappropriate. |
Depends on how you define "meddling." Have you always been so suspicious of foreigners? Do you travel outside the US much? |
I agree. Where do we stand on removing AIPAC, Betar and Canary Mission from the U.S. political landscape? Also, when are we codifying the law that criminalizes members of the U.S. Congress from propaganda tours of foreign nations? |
I’ve traveled extensively and have never publicly opined on or sought to influence the internal affairs of another country. As for foreigner visitors, I’m a fan. However, I’m also not naive enough to believe that all are here for salubrious purposes. In fact, I’ve experienced attempts at corporate and academic “espionage” (probably too grand a word, but it captures the idea), as well as interacted with paid propagandists of foreign authoritarian regimes operating in the US. Not everyone is here to take a picture at the Statue of Liberty and our government should have the power to address that fact. |
PP here. In favor of removing all foreign nationals meddling in our affairs. Quite a few Russians and others we can add as well. |
You forgot also don't boycott Israel because that's illegal in many states too |
Don’t disagree with anything you said. If you suspected you were targeted in the ways you outline above, I hope you contacted local law-enforcement or the FBI. |
Are you a troll? Because I never got the memo that criticizing Israel is illegal. Is there some statute or regulation to that effect and if so, can you link to it? |
Wonderful. We are in accord. |
