Yep. Too bad for them. |
Republicans don't care. And these people in disaster prone areas turn out to vote for them.
Look folks in red states the Democrats can come save you now, with all three branches of government being controlled by Republicans. |
Yep! After all the hate directed to democrats (fires in California), these people can call Russia to help them out. They voted to sent billions to Israel while their homes are destroyed. They voted to do away with NOAA. They voted to do away with FEMA. Now their hands are out ans they are lecturing us. Let’s break this country up! |
Looks like the red states want federal assistance after all.
JEFFERSON CITY — Today, Governor Mike Kehoe announced the state has requested the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) participate in joint preliminary damage assessments (PDAs) for Individual Assistance in 23 counties following the severe storms and deadly tornadoes that devastated Missouri March 14-15. This request begins the process of obtaining federal disaster assistance |
Agree 100%. Split it up. I’m ready to start killing. |
at least 14 deaths in Kentucky overnight and no NOAA coverage at the National Weather service to warn. |
I DGAF. Funny thing is that these people will enthusiastically vote again for the GOP and get screwed even more. What can I say? Maybe please stay in your s$itty state and enjoy climate change, which we all know does not exist, so you dont need to move to our area |
Not just NOAA being gutted, it's also FEMA being cut and which is significantly underprepared, also Forest Service which deals with wildfires, DOE which helps with energy infrastructure and restoring power in disasters, EPA which responds to help with drinking water issues, raw sewage, chemical spills, hazardous debris and other things that happen in disasters, DOT which helps with transportation logistics and infrastructure repair and so on. All because too many people bought into years of MAGA lies and false propaganda and indoctrination about "bloated gubmint full of lazy mooching bureaucrats" and "climate change is a hoax" and "blind dwarf amputee DEI hires" and "wokeness" and so on. And the cuts aren't about "fiscal responsibility" or "the national debt" - instead it's to put money in the pockets of billionaires and Trump-connected grifters and will add trillions to the debt while seriously undermining the United States as a nation. That is what is going on. It's truly horrifying. |
We're just getting started. Unless you're a braindead/brainwashed MAGA, you know that weather patterns have shifted. It's going to be a long, painful season of tornados and hurricanes (mostly through the red states) without FEMA. |
Oh right, because “your area” is doing great with regard to climate change. Major airports, data centers and consumerism on steroids. No thanks! Been there, done that. |
*shrug* "Thoughts and prayers?" This is what MAGA voted for. Let them suffer with it. |
All of this makes me sad. I don't wish this kind of devastation on any regular person. And you know that some victims will not be Trump voters even if you wanted to be cold-hearted about get-what-you-vote-for.
If only a tornado would suck up Trump, Miller, Musk etc. The world would be so much better off. |
What did Sarah Huckabee end up doing after Trump turned her request for assistance down? |
+1 Agreed. I can’t wait for all of the ghoulish cackling from folks around here when Florida gets slammed by another major hurricane. 40-45 percent of Florida still leans left. But that’s low enough for the GOP to dominate statewide offices. |
And yet MAGA stands by Trump and the GOP. Difficult to believe MAGA are such a bunch of weak Americans that they would prefer to idolize a man instead of stand up for fellow Americans. |
