Horrific tornadoes and storms are devastating the southeast - while...

I cheer destruction in Red MAGA states because they voted for Trump and deserve everything they do not get. Frankly, if the death toll was 100% in Red states, I would sing the Hallelujah Chorus!

Okay, Psycho.

It may be time to go outside and get some fresh air.

And I hate to split hairs over something so ghoulish, but even "red states" have plenty of people who didn't vote for Trump--not that voting for Trump should earn someone death-by-tornado.

A few years ago, during Trump's first term, there was a mass drowning caused by severe storms in a red state. There were people who, like you, were cheering the deaths of Trumpers--until it was revealed that people who drowned were actually black, and did not fit the MAGA stereotype.

DP. I will not cheer on harm to people in red states, however, I don’t have an ounce of empathy to spare for the ones who voted for Drumpf (just the poor blue dots down there).

This shouldn’t be controversial though since their dear leader Musk says that empathy is ruining this country. I will therefore feel free to not give the tiniest crap about what happens to them.

You have moved the goal posts from "singing hallelujah" when people in red states are killed by tornadoes to "not caring."

Fine.

I’m pretty sure the party that is now promoting the concept of “suicidal empathy” as rationale for cutting aid programs and social safety nets is the one that created the goal posts of not caring in the first place.

meanwhile trump is…. golfing, right? bragging about “winning” a tournament, not remotely focused on the tornadoes?

I don't know anyone cheering.

I do know many people who are tired. They voted for Kamala and tired of feeling bad for people who vote against their own best interests and then complain about the situation.

That's Trump's fault. He told the public FEMA was not doing anything and were the enemy. That then made things unsafe for FEMA staff in NC.

But, sure, overlook Trump's role in this as you usually do.

I have a relative there. Without FEMA he would not have survived. They pay him regularly and have since the beginning of the disaster.

But does your relative live in the MAGA cinematic universe?

It's a useless side show with more downside than upside. Medicare Medicaid social security defense debt payments. That's where our money goes. Not to federal salaries.

And a nice big chunk of it is about to go to tax cuts for rich people. Thanks a lot Maga.

A huge chunk, much more than the fed salaries. Basically, people are losing jobs and we are all losing services AND the debt will increase anyway because of the tax cuts.

"Let them eat cake"

It's like Trump is begging for a French Revolution with his greedy, arrogant, out-of-touch tax-cuts-for-the-rich garbage.

No they wouldn't. That's because your idea that millions of federal employees are "not essential" is pure imaginary ideology, not actually based in any facts or economics or realistic policy.

They could fire every federal employee and barely make a dent in the debt. That's not the problem.

The problem is the tax cuts. Tax cuts for the rich have added trillions to the debt - while providing virtually nothing of value to America.

Hey MAGAs - can we at least stop hearing your STOOOOPID ass conspiracy theories about how evil gubmint liberals are attacking red states with the Government Weather Machine? Because liberals aren't in charge anymore and if there's a Weather Machine it'd be Trump in charge of it.

Seriously, if MAGAs would start using their heads and applying a little logic every once in a while maybe we could stop being flooded with constant stupidity.

Yes, because while NC suffered (and still
Is) FEMA was putting up untold number of illegal immigrants in luxury NYC hotels. All expenses paid! That didn’t happen on Trumps watch- that was Biden/Harris.

FEMA provided NC storm Helene victims with $750 in immediate funds to help with food and shelter has provided over $372 million in ongoing aid to NC for temporary housing, home repairs and other disaster mitigation. Fake MAGA (and probably Russian) disinfo claimed they gave NOTHING, or falsely claimed the $750 was all that people were getting and nothing more, they also falsely claimed that funding was taken away from disaster victims to give it to immigrants which is also false because they are totally separate appropriations and funds.

Why don't you people stop lying and get your stories straight?

Lying requires knowing the truth. They skip that stap entirely, and speak only in parroted lines from their televisions and tweets.

He's begging for a Butterfly Revolution and a Cultural Revolution. Oppress the people and then imprison or kill the ones who resist.

Happy to let the locals take care of it. I’m indifferent to FEMA, always have been.
