I like her and think she’s very persinable. I’d like to have lunch with her or whatever. But I hate thee chit chatty podcasts. I feel the same about Julia Louis Dreyfus’s — love her, hate her podcast. I like a podcast that is educational like rest is history or freakonomics or the food that built America or something like that. I would love a good popular science podcast.
I. Did like that one that Bruce and Obama did — it’s one of the few chit chatty ones I liked but mainly because Bruce was talking about his own personal history so it was like a mini history lesson. |
| Her 15 minutes of fame is over. She’s just a rerun now. |
| I was shocked to see my son show me some of the horrible, vile right wing videos about Michelle. They have no decency. |
How sad. |
| The interesting Obama is the mother in law (RIP) . She raised two Ivy League kids and lived in the White House in her golden years. Now she deserved a podcast . I met her once too in cvs of all places. I was the only to recognize her and she gave me a wink when I called out her name. Very classy woman. |

Well, running a podcast is a skill - and it's always learned the hard way.
An entertaining or interesting interview with someone requires empathy, a sense of flow, humor, knowledge, a quick wit, and not everyone has that, certainly not some former First Lady who hasn't touched Earth for twenty years. |
Well said. |
She did 99% of the parenting so the kids could be gone all the time with their careers. |
The Obamas are already in the history books. They will never go out of style. |
Because she is yesterday's news! She is never going to run for office and she is saying nothing new. I voted for Obama twice but I can't stand a women who wears $500 sneakers to a homeless shelter. |
Too many podcasters and YouTubers who provide interesting content. |
She also knew to stay under the radar and do meaningful work without needing a public platform to seek attention -something her kids apparently didn’t get the memo about. |
This. We have far too many podcasts, and the vast majority are terrible. It’s okay to not listen to Michelle Obama’s podcast. It doesn’t mean she’s a bad person. It just means we prefer other podcasts…or simply don’t enjoy podcasts at all. Having said that, I find it interesting that so many people believe they are equipped to host a podcast. That level of confidence (delusion?) is baffling. Has anyone else noticed that everyone is basically doing the same interviews over and over again? Dave interviews Sam on his show, then Sam interviews Dave on his show, and then both essentially give the same interview over and over again on every other podcast and vice versa. |
It's a very saturated space. |
