Good. Alabama and other red states have been receiving federal funding for too long. Increase the pain! Gut every program going to red states!

The disdain is another reason people are happy to see it burn.

Agree. Although I can’t tell if these are “community troll” agitators.

Yup. A bunch of “schools” popping up in your local strip malls that will take all those vouchers the state gives out. Get ready for years of horror stories

Same. Are you an agitator?
A bunch of uneducated yokels who fear anyone mildly different than their Bible thumping inbred parents.

You’re a terrible selfish person.

Where do 98 percent of school aged children go to school? No voucher can pay full freight of private education.

We are going to have a segregated society of educated and non-educated.

Liar.

A reason WAS given.

It says right in the email: for security reasons.

Have you always struggled with reading comprehension?

Sorry guys. Let’s regroup
later.

We are going to channel all of this and WIN THE PANTS OFF of them in a few years.

We don’t seek retribution. Only peace and equality in our America. An America who is capable of so many reinventions.

Get some rest and treat it like the dc pandemic. We’ll bake bread and support each other

People have always had the choice to send their kids to private schools. Are you suggesting that there are people who don’t now have that freedom? Or is it really that such people can’t afford their choices, and want taxpayers to pay for their decisions?

The voucher won't barely cover any private tuition, and mostly good private don't even bother to look at it. It is just like section 8 housing ...

Oh sweetie. It doesn’t matter what it says, they aren’t closing for security reasons (unless you count the fact that DOGE didn’t want to be locked out). It is so naive that you think you can believe what you read from this administration.

Wow. I would’ve expected more people would have worked there?

Also, everyone gets paid through June 9th? That is actually a generous severance.

But who is going to take care of what the DOE did previously? Will there be more jobs in state education departments now?

Apparently it’s the smallest staff of the cabinet agencies.

I'm a teacher. Do tell what left wing ideology we're indoctrinating students in. I just want them to stop staring at their phones.
How can you be so stupid to think this is actually happening.

In my local HS, in NoVa, teachers did not tell parents when a child announced a new name in class. I think it was their policy (but I’m not sure). This is not appropriate. Keeping secrets with children is simply wrong. Teachers should email parents of significant changes and social issues at school . Teachers honestly messed up.It’s not all on them as the medical community and AAP also participated. We are all paying now.

It's not keeping secrets. God you all are so dim. I have right now a cis male whose name is, let's say James Smith, in one of my classes. He goes by Mac in school. At conferences, his parents called him James. No one's heads exploded.

Sorry I'm not calling every parent to confirm nicknames or changed names or whatever. You're being ridiculous.

Parents don’t even know the vocabulary you are using for social issues. I do not. I really don’t. It’s against my upbringing and religion. You really didn’t think this would become a problem? With the volume you were seeing. Most teachers I know are great - but also not politically saavy

So you think we care about your religious beliefs we don't and most teachers I know are extremely savvy and knowledgeable when it comes to politics. Go hide in your church being afraid of people who are different than you.
