I got nothing but respect! |
MAGA would have you believe that but no only dirty, filthy, fat, orange, PoS criminals do that when they won’t cooperate with NARA to return them. |
New lawsuit by Perkins - it’s a good read…

It’s a terrific complaint. I’m excited to listen the hearing. I pity the more government attorney who has to defend this obscenity of an EO. And I’m curious if it’ll be an AUSA or main Justice. The latter seems to be running out of staff. (Tiny violin) |
Yes. This is superb work and superb legal writing. |
I could not agree more. I am so grateful for their willingness to stand up here. |
So you admit the only way the government could possibly win is by getting a case in front of a judge they have in their pocket. |
One set up by the FBI? |
The FBI did NOT set up the SCIF at Perkins. The FBI did, as it often does, examine the space to ensure thatit was secure. and complied with national security requirements and protocols for handling secret information. |
The hearing is brutal. The judge asked DOJ if this is a Bill of Attainder... |
Link to audio? Sounds brutal. |
There is someone on Bluesky live-bskying it.
DOJ is saying crazy things. The judge is pretty horrified by it. |
The judge has (obviously) granted the TRO. Note, this does not include the clearances but is directed to terminating contracts and barring them from federal buildings. |

A federal judge on Wednesday sided with the law firm Perkins Coie, temporarily barring Trump’s executive order that crippled the firm’s ability to do business with the government. Trump signed an executive order last Thursday that essentially barred the firm’s lawyers from doing business with the federal government or entering federal buildings. Trump said that he was targeting the firm because of its role in representing Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign. Judge Beryl Howell said that the executive order had a chilling effect on the entire legal profession. “I am sure that many in the profession are watching in horror at what Perkins Coie is going through,” she said, adding, “It sends little chills down my spine” to hear arguments that a president can punish individuals and companies like this. |
