Putin has been in office since 2004, during George Bush term. What's your point?

So Zelensky is going to be a Putin style dictator for life? That’s not democracy whatsoever.

We don't negotiate with terrorist (supposedly). If there is non-Hamas leadership within the Palestinian community in that region, they should absolutely be at the negotiating table and if they weren't, shame on the US.

It’s so odd Zelensky recently was an actor.

At age 17, he joined his local team competing in the KVN comedy competition.[47] He was soon invited to join the united Ukrainian team "Zaporizhzhia-Kryvyi Rih-Transit," which performed in the KVN's Major League and eventually won in 1997.[29][48][49] That same year, he created and headed the Kvartal 95 team, which later transformed into the comedy outfit Kvartal 95. From 1998 to 2003, Kvartal 95 performed in the Major League and the highest open Ukrainian league of KVN, and the team members spent a lot of time in Moscow and constantly toured around post-Soviet countries.[29][48] In 2003, Kvartal 95 started producing TV shows for the Ukrainian TV channel 1+1, and in 2005, the team moved to fellow Ukrainian TV channel Inter.[29]
In 2008, he starred in the feature film Love in the Big City, and its sequel, Love in the Big City 2.[29] Zelenskyy continued his movie career with the film Office Romance. Our Time in 2011 and with Rzhevsky Versus Napoleon in 2012.[29] Love in the Big City 3 was released in January 2014.[29] Zelenskyy also played the leading role in the 2012 film 8 First Dates and in sequels that were produced in 2015 and 2016.[29] He recorded the voice of Paddington Bear in the Ukrainian dubbing of Paddington (2014) and Paddington 2 (2017).[50]

The Obama Doctrine and Ukraine

As regards the two-year-old conflict between Ukraine and Russia, the president said Ukraine is a core interest for Moscow, in a way that it is not for the United States. He noted that, since Ukraine does not belong to NATO, it is vulnerable to Russian military domination, and that “we have to be very clear about what our core interests are and what we are willing to go to war for.”

Guess that is the same as surrendering to Putin?

Trump’s doctrine

Trump has concealed details of his face-to-face encounters with Putin from senior officials in administration
President Trump has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal details of his conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, including on at least one occasion taking possession of the notes of his own interpreter and instructing the linguist not to discuss what had transpired with other administration officials, current and former U.S. officials said.
Trump did so after a meeting with Putin in 2017 in Hamburg that was also attended by then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. U.S. officials learned of Trump’s actions when a White House adviser and a senior State Department official sought information from the interpreter beyond a readout shared by Tillerson.

Funny how Zelensky won’t allow scheduled elections. He just LOVES our endless tax dollars in his coffers.

Russia was the aggressor. Ukraine owes them nothing.

And if Ukraine is excluded from negotiations, they are not bound or beholden to any so-called "agreement" made. If the "agreement" says that Russia is to withdraw, great. But this nonsense about things like making restitution to Russia is absolute garbage and if I were Zelenskyy I'd be saying "go collect from Trump." If anything, Russia needs to be paying Ukraine reparations. Russia's invasion was unprovoked, illegal and unwarranted.

Democrats are the defenders of free elections, democracy, etc, and constantly fret that Trump will refuse to leave office and become a dictator.

But Zelensky is applauded wildly by democrats as he becomes a dictator and refuses to hold democratic elections. Talk about hypocrisy!

Ukraine can fight Russia without American taxpayer dollars and American taxpayer funded military arms. Let’s see how long they last.
