NP, but yes. The federal government should not be engaging in any segregation. That includes the “infinity” groups that schools love to use to divide and segregate students.

That isn’t censorship it, it’s stopping segregation and racism.

One of our most glaring problems is that 54% of Americans read below a 6th grade reading level. People supporting gov't censorship don't know the difference between infinity and affinity. It's a real crisis in lack of critical thinkings skills paired with social media propaganda.

The states. And DoD has been the highest ranking school system in the country. Are you okay with dismantling that in favor of quasi Christian ideology and censorship? Are you okay with banning books that have been in the library for 20 years???

Different person here. Not a fan of the current crazy policies. However, DOD schools are high performing because Military recruitment policies effectively ban anyone with an IQ below 83-85 from joining. Banning lower IQ people from the military increase the average academic outcomes because for military children largely because IQ has a strong genetic component. The military also limits eligibility for enrollment to many people that have health issues, psych issues, and criminal tendencies. Once again this increase the average academic performance because the kids in the military on average have a lower genetic propensity for psychiatric issues and health issues.

Military family here. Hard disagree with the bolded. Military parents are just less likely to admit to and get help with psychiatric problems due to the stigma and career consequences. Kids are more likely to get help IF the parents acknowledge the problems.

Have you been to Twitter recently? It's full of garbage. The quality of discussion has declined markedly. The "For you" page promotes Musk's tweets and total junk tweets supporting Musk's tweets. That's all that "for you page" is right now.

I say this as an independent who is not always reflexively against Trump. There was a brief period when Musk bought Twitter where the quality of discussion went up. It is true that previous ownership suppressed some legitimate accounts. However, Twitter now is full on garbage, much worse than pre-Musk days.

When I'm on Twitter my timeline is filled with Democrats and liberal talking points. Feels like employees are sabotaging the algorithm.

I am talking about "For you" page. My own timeline (accounts I follow) is better but many people have left.

I just checked. That is the For You page, which I thought was the same as timeline. I never noticed this separate 'following' tab. My For You is filled with Democrat talking points.

Facebook let years of fake news and foreign propaganda dominate their network before finally deciding to enforce their rules on him just before the insurrection.

They also had an internal rule that allowed politicians and celebrities to break rules without consequences. So they finally enforced rules on him and he sued them.

Facebook is allowed to have rules. They would have won the case. But instead of fighting it, they settled for millions of dollars to appease the dictator.

No, treating social media like gas or water, that is, a public utility. Meaning that it has to adhere to the first amendment and you can’t get banned by a private company for exercising your free speech rights. Much like how Washington Gas can’t legally cut your gas line in the winter cause you’re MAGA because it’s a public utility, but a private bank can debank you if they want.
