Amen. Thanks Jack. |
Will the society of black engineers admit white members and allow them to serve in club leadership positions? If not, they have no place in public schools. |
+1 They really don’t like not being in charge of everything. The mask is off. Under every lib is an authoritarian in-hiding. |
Military family here. Hard disagree with the bolded. Military parents are just less likely to admit to and get help with psychiatric problems due to the stigma and career consequences. Kids are more likely to get help IF the parents acknowledge the problems. |
What are you talking about facebook blocked trump and caused him to lose the election. |
I guess I do engage with the trash. |
They did. And now the tides have turned and Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are all pro Trump. The Dems should have regulated social media and turned them into public utilities when they had the chance, but they were too cocky because social media was on their side and censoring Covid skeptics and right wing voices in the name of “disinformation.” Well the same playbook is going to be used on Dems this time around and a lot of their views are going to be censored on social media because it’s “misinformation.” This is why you should have solid values and be anti censorship and anti oligarchy no matter who’s in power. That same censorship and those same oligarchs can come for you when the tables are turned, like they are now. |
Yes, they will. So now what's your excuse? Can a white person join NSBE? Do I need to be African-American to join NSBE? No, NSBE is not only for African-American students! We welcome students from all races, sexes, and creeds. NSBE is a very diverse organization that has far reaching benefits such as: networking, scholarships and job/internship opportunities. |
Ok, I bite: yes As in banning of teaching creationism as biological fact. I’m ok with teaching it as religion. Banning Hitler’s Mein Kampf unless taught within its historical context to older students. Banning outright scientific falsehoods, like the earth is flat |
Regulated social media? Similar to what North Korea does? Lol |
Facebook let years of fake news and foreign propaganda dominate their network before finally deciding to enforce their rules on him just before the insurrection. They also had an internal rule that allowed politicians and celebrities to break rules without consequences. So they finally enforced rules on him and he sued them. Facebook is allowed to have rules. They would have won the case. But instead of fighting it, they settled for millions of dollars to appease the dictator. |
That's rich when your Vice President declared the constitution null and void yesterday. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/feb/10/jd-vance-judges-trump |
No, treating social media like gas or water, that is, a public utility. Meaning that it has to adhere to the first amendment and you can’t get banned by a private company for exercising your free speech rights. Much like how Washington Gas can’t legally cut your gas line in the winter cause you’re MAGA because it’s a public utility, but a private bank can debank you if they want. You knew what I meant. Don’t be daft. |
And because Dems weren’t harder on social media and were okay with censorship of differing voices during Biden’s term, they are going to find out just how bad having Musk and Zuckerburg be the authority of “misinformation” is when social media is turned against them. Good luck winning in 2028 with Facebook and Twitter shadow banning and censoring liberal voices… It didn’t have to be this way. |
Ummmm, WTAF? |
