| Such a sad story. That poor husband and sibling. |
So don't move to Chevy Chase (!!!!) and have THREE kids. That's enough pressure to drive anyone insane. Let's not put this all on the men, the women are making these choices deliberately too. My sister lives out of state and isn't mentally ill (that I know of) but she is a super-perfectionist, has the custom built house in the fancy neighborhood, the private school, the three kids (she tried for 4 but it didn't happen.) She does not work and decorates her house for Christmas in October and goes way over the top. Her husband doesn't seem into any of it but also won't tell her no. She always seems stressed but seems completely oblivious to the fact that it's a result of her own choices. If you point it out to her she basically won't speak to you. |
| Googled the house number and it doesn’t appear that they own it. Looks like it is owned by the husband’s parents. Either they lived there with the IL’s, or the IL’s brought them a huge home in a top neighborhood … |
It definitely appears that is her inlaws house. She and her husband (who has the same first and last name as his father, but a different middle name) own a house in Harper's Ferry, WV. Wonder why she drowned the kid there? |
This post misses the mark by so much. Mental health knows no geographical or social-economic bounds. Also this woman had two children and had only recently relocated to the area so please don't make this about Chevy Chase. This is a tragic tragic situation and is most likely connected to some serious mental health issues, not a "result of her own choices".

Wait a minute something doesn't make sense. Where was the baby drowning that someone saw it and did nothing? If I saw someone drowning, the first thing I would do is try to save them, particularly an infant. So if this was in the bathtub why didn't the 911 caller grab the child and perform CPR? It doesn't make sense. |
The father performed CPR. |
Where does it say this? The house she and her husband purchased in WV only closed on 11/7/2024. They haven't even owned the house 2 months and they were already living in Chevy Chase? Why didn't they move in to the house they bought? |

I had PPD and had some pretty dark thoughts. I'm also a health care provider so you'd think I would have been easily able to recognize what it was and not feel shame and guilt and therefore get help. It's amazing how well you can hide some of these thoughts. On the outside, it looked like I was functioning SO well. I was staying at home with DS, had great support from DH and family, even in pictures and videos I looked happy and engaged. No one could have guessed the dark thoughts I had that would leave me sobbing in the shower.
It's easy to judge after things happened about why people didn't do X and Y. |
The father attempted to revive the baby. Chances of resuscitation in these circumcistances are slim to none. |
She drowned the baby intentionally. Then she went and told her husband what she did after the baby was already dead. |
These last two posts are intrusive. |
DP. I am sincerely interested in your theory why Chevy Chase caused this woman to murder her baby. Please do share. |
She and the husband do show up as residents on some of the people/address search websites at least. Perhaps the Harper’s Ferry house was a rental property? Maybe they were living at/with the IL’s and preparing for a move to Harper’s Ferry? |
Not Chevy Chase per se. But Instagram and the impossible pursuit of a perfect family/perfect mother image. It's the same theory I have for Lindsay Clancy. |
