For all the anti college football geeks...

College should be about becoming smarter, not more stupid.

I am a big sports fan but... you sound immature. Calling kids who like something different "geeks"? Sounds like you need to grow up.

No one can help if you're dense. This isn't a hard intellectual thread.

It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken.

It takes a smart woman to understand a stupid poster.

What is a "woman" ... the people on this thread against college football is strong. Confirms my assumptions that the majority of responses on this thread are made by hollow humans that lack any social IQ. Thus , they are to be taken like a rice cake in a waterfall... useless.

LOL, no... but we all now know that you're a D & D pro. No heads expodeded here beyond laughter. 🤣

Nope, I don’t like any RPG. I was studying, going out with friends, working. A full life can be lived without sports.

If 6 Saturday's a year make your kid stupid than your kid probably has bigger problems.

Lol, what's your point? You spent time not studying doing other things but stuck it to the man by not going to a football game thousands of other people attended?

My cousin went to Penn State but never attended one football game (late 90s). Ironically, she married a D1 football player that played almost yearly against PSU; even her brother also played D1 football and a short stint in the NFL. So you can go to a big football school and still have plenty of other outlets.

I attended a D1 school with a crappy football team but excellent basketball while I was there. I attended every football game because I was in marching band. I went to many of the basketball games, too, with the pep band.

We had fun. I didn’t pick the school for sports. But I honestly don’t even like football anymore. So many reasons.

I am of course married to a Texan who is a Longhorn fan - no, he didn’t attend. My daughter at a D3 school in New England hasn’t attended one football game for her school but makes sure to go watch the Longhorns games on tv ;p

Big sports appeals to some. I get it. It’s not the end all be all, of course.

PS one of my best friends in college was the daughter of the longhorns head coach at the time. My now-husband nearly died when he found out when we first started dating. We had to beg him not to steal stuff from her dad’s condo when we met up for her on NYE one year in Austin.

Why is this thread so weirdly antagonistic, right from the title. People. Let us chill.
