Seen the roster. This is accurate.

Have fun beating up on the likes of Pineapple Express and Granite State Elite
Chin up. Heard there will be a Maryland Semi Select this year or next. Fingers crossed.

LOL, we're beyond our MD Select years. And my DD played for a club where we actually played in A brackets with real competition.

Then why do you care? Sounds like you have some issues you should talk to someone about.

No issues... just don't think it's worth the girls time or money. Get on Cap or a good MD club and you don't need to waste your time or money.

I would bet 2/3 of this 2030 roster are on top-7 ranked teams.
MY kid tried out simply to get more time being coached and maybe meet new kids on other teams. If you tried out to play top competition, you made a mistake. There will literally be many times to spend 10K or more on these "all star" events.

The head scratchers aren’t surprising if you know who their parents are, or what coaches they have worked with in the past. Connections matter for these selections and there are more important than talent in many cases.

This is 100% not worth it on the girls side. These “National” or “Select” teams just hasn’t taken off like they have on boys side. And it’s still extremely debatable about the value the National teams on the boys side are getting. If you are from a region or state that doesn’t nearly get the level of competition that your normal club team gets then maybe there is some value to it. Speaking from experience. This is major FOMO. It’s hard to hear and as you go through this you will learn this and look back that money could be better spent on private training. Just providing opinion

We all going to ignore that Mike is now having a showcase for middle school girls to play in front of private school coaches? Does the money grabbing never end?

I'm guessing that you're not a business owner.

No fan of MH, but he knows how to make money. Too bad he puts more effort into his tournies and the middle school expo BS then his actual club team. MoCo dying for a good option for club lax and he's happy to just cash checks and let them be in B brackets and combo teams.

Why does establishing another club team in MD fall on him? Do it yourself.

The club is not attracting the talent in the older years. He is building Rebels back up at the ES level. He developed a rec program that feeds into it.

MH is a teacher at GC too. According to you he should be working 7 days a week all year round?

+1
daugther did it last year and half the team quit after the first tournament. Level of play was not good and the coaches put girls in the wrong positions. Worst $500 ever spent.
