| My daughter only has one friend who has been and they literally paid $70 because they got them on ticket-master. They also go to concerts all the time. Everyone else just went and saw the movie. |
No. It’s just random luck. We had a presale code to Philly and were completely shut out. Waited in the virtual waiting room for 8 hours and then once we got in all the seats left were phantom. You couldn’t actually checkout if you managed to get them in the cart. Then we got another presale code to Miami. Only had to wait 30 minutes in the waiting room and checked out easily. Paid $220 each for 100 level tickets. |
we did not pay that much… most probably did not. We had extra tickets and sold them face value to friends, so maybe check with your friends to see if they have extra. I think you are allowed to buy 6 at a time. |
No, the second leg of the American tour only allowed 4 tickets to be purchased. So more people were able to get tickets, but there are fewer leftovers floating around |

By far the majority of girls age 12 to 17 have not been to a Taylor Swift concert. What a shallow circle of friends you have. |
Going to a concert does not make someone shallow. Judging someone based on a musician they like does though. |
Disagree. Paying hundreds/thousands of dollars for concert tickets plus flying and hotel stays, etc. for a 12 yr old to see a concert, is shallow. It isn’t shallow to like Taylor Swift though. |
Hundreds of dollars for a concert ticket is shallow? Tell me you haven’t been to a concert in 10 years without telling me. Even Stevie Nicks tickets cost me $150 each. |
Eh, depends on your income and normal travel budget. We travel a lot. I got our Eras Miami tickets at face value thankfully. Books flights and hotel on points. Will pay for rental car and food. The kids know it’s a special trip and not a regular occurrence. I’m not clear what’s shallow about it. It’s no different to me than some 20 somethings flying to Vegas for the weekend. |
| Anyone see Beyoncé Renaissance tour? It sucks that tickets are so hard to get at the face value price. I thought something was going to be done about that. |
Nothing is going to be done about it. Ticketmaster runs a monopoly on concert tickets , we the consumers and the artists are forced to use them. They’re allowed to have users purchase and resell tickets at exorbitant amounts and to charge us ludicrous fees because we live in a profit driven capitalist society with no controls on these things and a government that won’t regulate them. |

They have been sued by the Justice Department. It will take a while though.

Interesting, I told my 15 year old DD we couldn't afford Olivia Rodrigo tickets, but we have been to see TS twice (Eras Tour + Reputation) and didn't spend that much on tickets combined. We saw the Eras tour in Denver, which required that we leave for a previously planned vacation a day early and we were fortunately able to stay with family, so no added travel or hotel cost. There is some luck (pre-sale/lottery) and planning ahead involved, but it was possible to see her reasonably if you avoided resale tickets. |
| I would think it's a minority of girls who have gone. |
