This! All of them can afford to rebuild or just walk away from their property. |
Data centers use more energy than other types of buildings. They use 3% of ALL the energy use in the world. Stop playing with ChatGPT and AI stuff and save the planet. |
Stop using air conditioning You are the problem |
My very intelligent and very liberal brother in law has a very expensive beach house on a barrier island. I think he decided it was cheaper than renting whenever he and his family wanted to go to the beach, plus eliminates the hassle of dinging a place, packing stuff, storing things like kayaks etc. I’m sure he knows it will be underwater in 50 years but probably figures he will just walk away from it or maybe find someone to take it off his hands in 20-30 years who is alookkkg for a house they can use for a decade or two. Hes in it for the current use, not the equity. |
Air conditioning is actually more efficient than heating, and generally requires smaller thermal gradients (90 to 70 vs 22 to 70). https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1088/1748-9326/8/1/014050 |
If a heat pump is used for both AC and heating, wouldn't the efficiency be the same? Suppose the outdoor temperature is 50F and we wish to warm the indoors to 70F. This is a 20-degree temperature differential. I would think this would require the same amount of energy as if the outdoor temperature were 90F and we wished to cool the indoors to 70F, assuming that a heat pump is used for both heating and cooling. |
And if only we all recycled more, THEN climate change would end! Moron. |
You first. We'll wait |
What about heat? Do you use heat? Do you have kids PP? |
People who say stop using AC - stop eating meat- stop flying or driving or stop using electricity - all fools.
Total morons. Out of your minds dumb. So what - it's 100 degrees and humid out so nobody's gonna use the AC? WTF? How is not using AC possible?? |
