So wait…you went around a huge complex AND had to drive back forth from your hotel to watch these teams. They were all playing at different times and parts of the complex. Not only that, you went and watched a bad ECNL team that isn’t even in your division, playoffs or has anything to do with the Mid Atlantic? All this after you already have chosen your club for next year? Claim Loudoun is the best when you don’t even know rosters? VDA will have one USYNT added to roster and 4 more USYNT ID center players but they will only give “them a run for the money”? By all means, please tell us what Loudoun is bringing in? Alex Morgan? Rose Lavelle?

You are just someone trying to make a group of parents and kids feel worse than they already do. I’m pretty sure those girls know they aren’t a good team. I don’t what there is gain by posting a comment like that unless you want to upset people.

Agreed - I guess driving around checking out 14/15 year old girls playing soccer and then sitting behind a keyboard bashing said kids makes you the big winner of the group. Thank gosh we have people like you in the world.

The facts remain the same. The National performance of these teams was lacklustre. Union finished highest but they only played lower level teams Now one can understand the forced merger of Union and Brave and NVA hasn't lived up to its promise by merging with Valor. Bethesda has real problems and Arlington may be on par with other areas teams. Why is DC so bad with travel soccer. Is it all pay to play?

Lol. When NVA announced that they would become NVA, Mark Ryan said that it was to improve in National Competitions. Who cares if they win Mid Atlantic. If they can't compete on a National Level the girls won't be recruited. 0-3 in an event that didn't include the #1 team in the country for 2009's is unimpressive. Maybe Loudoun Soccer aka NVA should reevaluate how they select and train players. Kick and run doesn't work.

And a third ynt player at vda 09. An 09 who has been playing 08 but was hurt this year.

VDA also advanced to champions league round of 16 last year.

OP strikes again. You certainly didn’t go. VDA was not even at the Showcase for 09s. Poster is former disgruntled Bethesda parent who moved (more like pushed) 2 kids to Loudoun. Please just move on already.

Saw VDA at South Carolina showcase and the other two at the North Carolina showcase. So I did see all 3!

You obviously don't know anything about college soccer. Please read some rosters at Division 1 schools and then let us know what you think.

Everyone here needs to realize the amount of work it takes to be a Division 1 soccer player. The number of kids that end up abandoning it after their first or second year is very high, especially on the boys side. It's 80 hours a week of schooling and practice/games/training. It's draining! and most probably won't have the love of it to continue.

There is nothing wrong with Division 3. It allows the kids to have a normal college experience. Most girls and boys should be choosing division 3 and everyone should be proud of it.
