Bucknell v. Lehigh?

Anonymous
other than residing in the Patriot League, Colgate is not a peer to Lehigh - Colgate’s small size makes it more akin to Bucknell (but better) - more appropriate moniker for Colgate would be the W&L of the North.. preppy, athletic, greek, wealthy kids most typically on preprofessional track - and just to add more fuel here, W&L > Colgate

Bucknell vs Lehigh?
Caviar vs sardines?
Champagne vs grape juice?
Shakespeare vs. Twilight?
Lacrosse vs. kickball?

Really, who could draw such an insulting comparison…likely only someone with the churlish manners of a Yale man.

How would you differentiate? What kind of student thrives there?
Lehigh tracks DI way more than Bucknell

We visited both. Kids are athletic, but the hilliness of the Lehigh campus seemed like something that would get old quickly. It’s bad enough in summer; would imagine the slipping & sliding in the winter would be a considerable pain. Bucknell was completely flat.

yes the only comparisons that are dead serious are the ones comparing T10s - heaven forbid there are kids of non-strivers looking at regular schools!

Lehigh does yield protect. It was DD’s favorite true “safety”. She showed tons of demonstrated interest and was very interested in their IR program (wrote a supplemental essay about it). DD was accepted to two ivies and a few others in the top 30 - waitlisted at Lehigh.
