A Tiffany’s box from the person who pushed me out

They are probably better off without you. You are going overboard trying to attach bad intent to anything she does, even something quite positive.

It is just business and you shouldn’t take it personally. You should be grateful that you were is a position to negotiate a generous severance. Many people don’t get his.

Immediate return to sender without opening.

Why would you spite yourself? Obviously take the gift and do whatever you want with it. Let's not forget the alternate scenario here is OP gets fired. That was totally going to happen but she got around that. She's winning, even if she doesn't see it.

Anyways isn't a proper word. Maybe take this time off to work on your writing.

It probably was sent by an assistant who signed for her. She may not even know it was sent to you.

Obviously you'd never use the item w out a bad memory. I'd probably return to sender w no explanation. It's gaslighting

I’m the PP and I would want nothing from or to do with the person after this. I wouldn’t p*ss on them if they were on fire.

This is very personal and not just business. If you get fired and then the boss sends you a gift, It’s almost like they’re admitting guilt or giving you something to be quiet about your firing.
Big No no.

Inside the box was a tea set with a motif of Paris which was the last work trip we did together which feels like a professional romance gift?

Plot twist!

Except Tiffany's is selling a set with a motif of NY, OP is a drama llama. As are you, PP.

Exactly.

And it's motifs of NY, not Paris, it's a corporate gift. As was the severance. Calm down, count your blessings, don't burn bridges and start sending resumes, OP. Exchange the gift at Tiffanys. You don't work there anymore. Stop subsuming your anxiety and procrastination re: the job hunt in angst about someone no longer in your life but still in your professional orbit. Move on with professionalism. None of this was personal and you are doing so much better coming out of this than many are.

What are rich people so creepy with their freaky rituals like sending crystal to people who leave? Such pathetic fake-aristocratic posers.

Your'e in executive in the 'corporate' world and all you got out of separation was 3 months pay?
