Are Nike running sneakers totally out of fashion among upper middle class women?

I find Nike to offer the least amount of cushion on the market followed only by addidas. They are no longer athletic shoes and much more fashion sneakers

I used to run in Nike's but as I got older Hokas just felt better. I need more cushion.

Does anyone remember the Nike air Icarus line from the 90’s? If so, any recs for the modern equivalent? Icarus seems to have been discontinued.

I think I’m the lamest of all. I wear NB Arishi because low profile, inexpensive, and comfortable and I go through several pairs a year.

The tacky logo crap just isn't cool anymore. Fashionable women wear more obscure and higher end sporty leisure wear and more specialized running shoes. When I see a big Nike swoosh I think urban kids and trashy classless women like the Kardashians. I'm neither of those things, so why would I want to wear it?

I get complimented on my waffle debuts constantly.

Nike, Adidas, etc will never be out. Nike is almost single handedly providing socks for all tweens and teens these days

The preppy teen boys are really into hokas.

I hope they don't become the next middle aged mom shoe.

You're missing that certain models of certain brands cater to pronation, supination or normal foot structure. So instead of focusing on the brand, please focus on which model can best support the feet you have, OP. There are websites out there to help you.

This is such a dumb comment it's not even funny. I have a feeling that you couldn't find fashion if it was right in front of you.

What works for my feet for working out are Sauconys and Nikes.

For casual wear, I wear Adidas Gazelles and Sambas and Converse.

And as I'm shopping for a couple of pairs of new shoes, one for actual walks and jogs and one to keep clean for leisure wear, and even the most expensive and newest Nikes look so off. I'm gravitating towards On, Salomon, Hoka ... and maybe New Balance, Saucony, or Asics.

First, why do you care? I have always hated Nike because they have never felt good on my feet. I like Hoka, Brooks, New Balance

I’m neutral about Ons, but Hokas are butt ugly.[/quote]

Then don't wear them! They are very comfortable and I think they are very cute!

It isn't like they're hard to find.

It's a ghetto shoe, though.

I don't think a racist anonymous internet poster is the arbiter of what's fashionable or not.

Ghetto and ghetto fab are not racist terms in this context; it’s a type of fashion aesthetic.

Nope. Not ghetto by itself. It’s just racist.
