Interesting point 🤔
All over the forum are posts and comments about the low quality of HS soccer and the fact the best players in the area do not play HS soccer
Yet, all the ECNL players play HS soccer 🤔

So, is HS soccer quality higher than we say or is ECNL quality lower than we say?

The floor is open

In the Fall, MLS Next kids are doing quality training and playing quality competition while ECNL kids are running around with PE teachers and playing kick-ball games?

But both parents are shelling out same amount of cash?

My son loves playing in HS. It’s an experience that the MLS Next kids will never get. He knows the HS team isn’t as good as his ECNL team, but he would never give it up…unless maybe DC United came calling.

He plays ECNL. They won’t be calling.

And yet another humor- impaired commenter.

Most kids won't get a call, don't worry about it. You will see scouts on the sidelines in ECNL. There's a reason why MLS next clubs play Jeff Cup. Probably the best recruiting tournament for players outside of the specific league tournaments.

Oh I bet that made you feel good. Take it you work for DC United? Otherwise, just a know it all parent who thinks their kid is the next best thing, therefore, knows everything about youth soccer, and in reality will barely play in college if at all despite all the talk and thousands paid

Nah he doesn’t work for DC United, if he did he’d know an individual player is just as likely to go to DC United from ECNL as from a non academy MLS Next team. He just wants to prove superiority to … I don’t know who…very few would argue that because of the Academy teams MLS Next is not the top boys league.
Anyway the first guy was making a joke, this guy needs to take a deep breath and no his ego shouldn’t depend on his teen age kids soccer league.

Back to facts. DC United will look for talent anywhere in DMV.

I think the jerky poster here is probably a mom, not a dad. A bitter mom with a kid who is good at soccer and not much else in her life besides driving carpool to Pennsylvania, cutting oranges, and making Chipotle or Subway runs for the team.

Facts? DC United is “partners” with half the local clubs. It means nothing. When was the last time Potomac produced a pro?

Better than a jerky dad who takes pot shots at jerky moms on an anonymous forum. I’ll take a steak bowl please

Looks as if someone is directly over the target to elicit this reaction.
