+2. Can you imagine Car Talk being green-lit today? |

They routinely offer RWNJ viewpoints. Annoyingly so. ![]() |
Pete Sagal is so unbelievably annoying I can't believe WWDTM hasn't been canceled. |
I completely agree with this. and I'm a liberal person who tends to align with people like Bernie Sanders/Marianne Williamson, and 15 years ago I listened to NPR non stop throughout the day. Now I find it embarrasing and limited to a dangerous degress. But I feel the same away about a lot of "progressive" circles in DC -- its become impossible to have a nuanced conversation. |
I think people regardless of their political standing and preferred outlet feel the same the across the board |
Like virginity, once credibility is lost it's impossible to recover. |
Nope. I don’t find some of these posts credible. Some were made by people who clearly don’t listen. |
1+. Agree. A gaggle of “I’m a card carrying Democrat but…” trolls. |
Yup. Same recycled thread every few months. Yawn. |
Fact: Hunter Biden's laptop was real. Fact: government officials aka "50 intelligence agents" pretended that it had all the hallmarks of Russian interference. Fact: FBI officials led "hypothetical" training for media using a hypothetical laptop as Russian interference and telling media not to report on it in the name of misinformation. Fact: this gave NPR and others the excuse to censor discussions about the laptop and it's contents, which have largely turned out to be true and few now deny Hunter B was playing some sort of cash for influence scheme, even if it was little more than bucks to have dinner with daddy. Fact: this betrayed the notion of a responsible media and journalism and gave weight to what most people now accept, mainstream media is little more than the Democratic Party's mouthpiece. And, unfortunately, a substantial wing of high level government bureaucracy. That is largely why people are voting for Orange Turnip. |
Haven’t read the thread but the answer from
DCUM will be a resounding NO because the viewpoint bias aligns strongly with this site. Why would the lefties on DCUM lose trust in an organization that, in its steady creep farther and farther left, basically serves to reinforce their own opinions while simultaneously classifying themselves as an unbiased news source? That’s the ultimate in confirmation bias. |
But in 2012 when Republican Mitt Romney answered that Russia was potentially our biggest geopolitical foe—Obama poked fun at this answer, quipping that the 80s called and want their foreign policy back. Obama was quite chummy with Vlad. So was Obama also a puppet? Or is he the puppeteer? |
Much of the content on the laptop was Hunter Biden's - but was all of it really his? https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/03/30/hunter-biden-laptop-data-examined/ Regardless, the laptop is irrelevant to Joe Biden. The story at this point should be why is Russia so eager to defeat Biden and why does the GOP continue to push Russian talking points. |
