In my experience conservatives men can date liberal woman, but liberal men cannot date conservative women. It boils down to the same reasons, almost all men think they are smarter than women, particularly in politics, but liberal men like to delude themselves that they are feminists, so they cannot handle the cognitive dissonance of their sense of superiority. They were not let in by cops. The Capitol was first breached by a Proud Boy who broke a window using a shield stolen from a cop. They walked around inside the Capitol only after they violently overwhelmed the cops outside.

And Trump tweeted "Big protest in DC on January 6. Be there, will be wild!" Without that tweet the attempt to disrupt a joint session of Congress doesn't happen.
