They are just trying to stay in the news. I don’t begrudge their strategy - raise their kids outside thr traditions of the BRF (not everyone wants their kids to attend all-boys boarding schools) - then come back into the fold when their kids are grown. When the King, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and the Duchess of Edinburgh are too old, the BRF will need more help.

If my sister-in-law talked about me on national TV, I would never take part in a true conversation with her again. Just polite pleasantries. Nothing more. Trust would be broken.

ICYMI: such events often honor celebs who will draw a crowd…even when they don’t really deserve to be honored. When you are honored, you are expected to buy a table and make a donation. But the real benefit is that others will buy tables just to be in the same room as the honoree.
