How/When did you know what school to ED to?

And the school counselor would know that it'd negatively impact the HS for future years if caught (which they would likely be, if it's even possible).

Right, that is what we are supposed to do, but I'm hearing about kids who are rule breakers and doing multiple ED. Just bragging? Can schools really block them out?

I know a mom who said her kid's ED schoolS were reaches. I'm going to assume she meant ED1 and ED2, but there's no way to know. If someone had more than 1 ED1, wouldn't the school have to know and be OK with it?

I believe certain school groups share info - heard through the grapevine that the ED ivies do - so assume if you applied to all ED they would know and hopefully reject you for lack of integrity.

But doubt ED schools that have a 40% chance acceptance rate share info with other schools - so assume some apply to multiple reach schools even though they are not supposed to assuming they have a very slight chance to get in and will not end up with multiple ED acceptances.

I don't see how you can do multiple ED, unless it's ED1, ED2, or you have an unethical school counselor. The school counselor has to sign off on the ED application.

Not only that, they have to sit down with the parents and get them to sign the agreement (student too) to make sure everyone understands that they are making a commitment. Only after that do the counselor's letter of recs, transcripts, school profile, other letters of rec go out.
