Now that you mention it, it is pretty funny

Like Kennedy without wealth and privilege.

Rosa Parks MS is one of the very few majority-white schools.

They have plenty of stem and you can take classes at MC.

there is some wealth at Einstein. People just aren't as showy about it.

Ok but there’s no cohort and MC isnt a great option. For OP Blair or Wheaton would be much better.

I think they meant that Kennedy doesn’t have wealth or privilege like its namesake, just like Einstein HS is weak at STEM unlike its namesake

On the other hand, there’s so much racism at Wootton that its slaveholding and slave-trading namesake would be proud.

Not at all. Einstein was an accomplished violinist. He confessed to thinking about science in terms of images and intuitions, often drawn directly from his experiences as a musician, only later converting these into logic, words and mathematics.

He would be embarrassed that you all are so far behind the times and still using the term STEM when even MCPS itself has finally rebranded in the 21st century term STEAM.

Not entirely true. There’s definitely some wealth at Kennedy as evidenced by the Teslas, BMWs, and Mercedes I see in the parking lot during dropoff and pickup.

But still, I’m guessing that might account for 20% of the school population. You have to remember, Kennedy even with its higher poverty and FARMS rates is still in MoCo. MoCo poor is different from real urban poverty in Baltimore or DC.

Ha ha! So true

Northwood will be at the new campus for 3 years. Personally, I’m not sure that is such a big deal. Kids will come back to the newly built Northwood campus for senior year. Again, my family is ok with it but I know many other families in our neighborhood who don’t like this situation at all

I know there are students at Einstein who take the highest math and CS and science classes offered. But if OP has a choice, it shouldn’t be Einstein for math and science. Wheaton and Blair have more kids who are into these fields and stronger teachers and a better program overall.

Yes a number of the wealthy neighborhoods with large turn of the (previous) century mansions around downtown silver spring previously zoned to Montgomery Blair are now zoned to Einstein or Northwood.
