Why are all the prepared foods and bakery section baked goods at Whole Foods full of palm oil and canola oil? Pure garbage.

I don’t know, but the Chantilly cake isn’t’ as good as it used to be. And my favorites are no longer sold. Lemon mousse cake and lemon Charlotte bombe are long gone. I haven’t seen the pear tart in several years, and it’s been months since I’ve seen the apple tarts.

Tjs does not have an extensive list of bans...the have seed oils in nearly all their packaged products. TJ is def not any superior to wh in that you have to read every label. Mom's is the only one and coops..

Same for Starbucks, Panera, and Costco. But you expect pricy Whole Foods to be higher end and avoid that junk. But look at the labels — EVERYTHING in the Whole Foods prepared food, bread, and bakery section has junk seed oils in it.

WF's apple cider donuts are spectacular.

Why is everyone on this thread talking about seed oils? Is this the new bogeyman like trans fats??

I'd worry about seed oils if I weren't already so full of microplastics. Now nothing can destroy me so I can eat all the seed oils I want.

MOMS by far has the best produce. Avoid packaged foods as much as possible anywhere--obviously some are unavoidable esp if you have kids.

My one and only complaint about moms is that they NEVER carry brocoli rabe and I have to get it at WF.

Parsnips are at MOMS or Rockville WF. Usually.

Trying to avoid seed oils and HFCS is not some outlandish thing. Seed oils and HFCS are bottom of the barrel products to fatten margins at the expense of our health. Why would “healthy” Whole Foods put this garbage in all their foods? Use butter and olive oil.

Remember when the government produced diet guidelines promoting carbohydrates and low fat diets? The government also subsidizes corn in the US leading to cheaper HFCS. "I'm from the government. I'm here to help."

I was in Whole Foods last night. Seemed like all the fresh food items had soybean oil, canola oil, or palm oil in them. If I wanted food with that shit in it, I'll just buy cheaper food from Costco. Whole Foods feels like a pretentious scam at this point.
